Put it this way Joels game on Saturday was still better than the best came CJ played for our club.

I disagree.

However, I think that while he probably isn't as neat with the footy as CJ I'd back him to provide more of a contest, and he reads the ball well in the air.

The only thing we have left....I was rather disappointed with the angle the Water Person situated at the Ponsford end was carrying the bottle, he could have accidentally spilt it on the players, I hope when they review the tape, they are instructed the best way to carry it............double sigh

But couldn't we put a drink tube in so the water won't splash??

J.Mac or CJ

For me CJ, better skills and gets more of the footy.

Not convinced on J.Mac would not get a game at a top club, skills are not great and shouldn't be in contention for a game with Melb when or if we ever are challenging for the top four.

Yes we got him for nothing but i would of rathered someone else.

You think Joel can't get a game for a top club???? He played 22 for a semi-finalist last year...

Chris Johnson couldn't get a run for a wooden spooner.

Pretty ordinary argument.

If you have a better stat to show that CJ, in fact, doesn't get more of the footy - feel free to share it.

I am told (by the management of Carlton) that CJ is on his last legs.

He has recurring back related hammy problem.

Wonder if it is a little hereditary ? (speculating) I recall AJ having a few hammy problems. I recall when he tore a hamstring ~ in front of the Ponsford, it looked as though he'd been shot in the leg.

How many people on here can honestly say they paid attention to his games at Brisbane?

I did. For this same reason: -

Actually I did as he was in my dream team. I enjoyed watching him at Brisbane and I was pretty happy when we drafted him.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
