Rudeboy, if you're out there??

Just got back from visiting him at the hospital. He's very determined to come back fit and strong later in the year. For those interested, the amputation went well, but he's going to have to work more on his left side from here on.

Hmmm, maybe this guy could do the trick in the meantime

It's up to the club to inform the public about such matters, and because Liam is my mate, I am also aware that I have a responsibility to respect his privacy, especially concerning his health.

However, I think I should set a couple of things straight before panic sets in. Firstly, he and Bell will both be having some work done on their shoulders tomorrow. Secondly, while he'll be out of action for a while, he will definitely be back playing mid season, so talk of his demise is definitely premature. Believe me, he'll be back stronger and hungrier than ever.

Interesting...how much do you really know or were you guessing?? I guess you forgot to mention Liam went in before Bell early Wed. Their injuries were better than expected (if you could look at it like that)and injury repair time although still not good is expected to be shorter than first announced if all goes according to plan .

For the record, I only post stuff re Liam to correct misinformation. I think a check of my posts will show I'm informed on matters pertaining to LJ.

While RudeBoy (see above) is more than capable of looking after himself on these forums, I also implore to you go and research his previous posts before you embarrass yourself any further.

I'd just like to register my chagrin in regards to this thread.

It is great that Rudeboy is in a position to help us out with info from time to time, but pleading for him to "put our minds at ease" is a bit over the top.

It's a fine line between that and asking him to abuse his position in Liam's life for our purposes (although I'm sure he's wise enough to not do that).

Threads like this that have ensured I keep my connections to those at MFC well & truly under my hat.

Also to do that and then question the validity of what he says...

Just relax a bit guys.

Enough hysteria and second-guessing and the season is still 2 weeks away.

Edit: just saw Rudeboy's post. But what I said stands.

Best news I've had all week. Can't wait to see him back.

In a 12 year, quadruple premiership, Norm Smith Medal winning, Dual Coleman medal winning career, this is but a blip on the radar.

Go Liam, unleash hell

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
