Liam moved back up forwards halfway through the quarter. 2 goals in 7-8 minutes and immediately dragged!

Liam is having an amazing match!! Whenever he is up forward he makes things happen.... That is why he is spending time off the ground and time on the wing.... Liam is doing nothing wrong.... He would know this!

Ox just made the most honest statement I have heard all year.....

"If Melbourne had only won 3 matches this year, they would be in front!"

Never a more honest word has been spoken.....

This Melbourne side is a lot better than we are being made to believe!!

Ox just said that if we had more than 4 wins at the moment we would be in front. that is such a good positive for next year.

Actually said if we had only won 3 this year, but it is the same as winning more than 4....

We are being fooled by the Melbourne coaching staff into thinking this side is the worst side in the competition!

Melbourne are better than we are being shown!

i have no doubt there will be improvement next season, but to suggest we can make the 8 is just ridiculous. By saying that you are saying we will an extra 8 games on top of this season

as much as we improve the rest of the league will also improve and we only get younger next season...think about it guys

I have thought about it all year. Its very possible if we can get some pace in the midfield, & can start to believe we can win away from the MCG.

This is why i consider it stage 2 for Bails. 2010 will be a new look team post ND.

I have Faith we can reach week 1 September next year. Don't Forget since we played essendon at the Airport earlier this year, Bailey has been coaching with the hand brake on.

Speak to me this time next year.

This match is just going through the motions now....

All eyes are on Riewoldt, who looks to be struggling with a right knee....

There is something wrong there.... no doubt....

Wheatley is bombing some long ones in from the goal square..... Enjoying his last few kick ins I reckon!!

Robbo kicks a goal.....

He is enjoying it like he always does.....

This is quite an emotional day for the club.... Losing some real gems!!

Well done boys....

The Demons have had the hand brake on for months, we are a team with great potential.

Which is why i believe we can play for the eighth spot next year.

As a Club we must aim for that.

Wheatley just kicked a great goal....

Melbourne are really enjoying this game I reckon....

Signs are great....

IMHO this is a great way to finish the season....

Saying goodbye to mates and playing some good footy!!

Riewoldt kicks his 6th....

If he had've kicked like this in Rounds 20-21 then the Saints would be 22-0 for the year.....

I like the way Frawley has played on him today though.... He can definately walk off with his head held high....

Blowing out a little now.... 102 - 67

Rivers just outmarked by Kozzie...

Rivers is an interesting one at the moment.... Do you throw his name around at the end of the season??? I am 50/50 on this....

Morton is a magnet.....

Dennis Cometti just commented on the picks Melbourne has in the draft and said "Geez, they will be a contender in 3 years time!"

Hell yes we will Dennis....

Ox just asked Dennis if you would give up pick 2 for Sandilands?? The answer was yes....

I am not so sure...

If this season is anything to go by, then we only need to win another 6 games to make the eight.... Essendon only won 10....

Bring in Maric, Wonna, Grimes, Watts, Green, Petterd and Bate.....

Throw in Pick 1 and 2, and Pick 1 in the PSD.....

You think about it!! ;)

I am pretty sure we will be pushing the eight....

for most of this season we did have Petterd, Green, Bate, Grimes and they made no difference at all. Maric and Watts were available for half of it also, not up to as yet.

Anything above 7 wins is a bonus for this team next season and we build from there

You Forget one Major Factor.

For this entire year in both planning & match day the Hand Brake has been close by.

Players will not be played out of position next year & beyond.

This will make a huge difference.

i will give you that after round 12, BUT whats the excuse before the hand brake was applied....

We are not good enough in our disposals and work rate

In the First Part of the season we had no forward line.

Put Wonna Pettard Jurrah & Watts down there & things could be very different.

The work rate & disposal are improving, We do need more speed in the middle, which is why draft picks are paramount this year.

Nothing is certain in Football but if we have a good run with injuries during the pre season we can aim for a vast improvement.

Playing Games with the Hand Brake on is always going to make disposal look bad.

Lack of Rotations make for tired players.

We will be a new side next year, Yes we will lose a few but so did the 4 sides contesting this years 8.

Look at Port Adelaide. Now they are a disgrace. We can be way better than them.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
