All the best two sheds. Lets hope the good news keeps coming. You deserve it.

Thanks for the update.

That's the spirit two sheds. Great to hear you're feeling terrific. All the best.

Excellent news Two Sheds!

Your story just devastated me and it's great to hear that you have some very positive news to share.

As I think I said to you before, doctors don't know everything and they are often wrong. You keep fighting and stay positive and you definitely can beat this. Cancer is still largely an unknown disease, particularly rare cancers, so please make those medical books as one of those success cases that every other poor bastard with the same type of cancer can look to.

Best of luck!

FANTASTIC news Two Sheds! I think we are all pulling for you to come through this.

Puts a spring in your step to read it has been so positive for you so far!

This is actually the first time I have gone into a Board other than the main two, and I am really sorry I didn't visit before today.

Like Nasher and a few others have said - I have nothing profound to say, and feel uneasy about PMing someone I clearly don't know.

But I will say this - TSJ - “Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense”

Churchill was a monumental [censored] but he knew how to get the most out of himself and his life.

Good luck.

Power of positive thinking Two Sheds.

Well Done. Keep Going. Listen to Python, it always Helps!!

I have to say, Two Sheds Jackson, that reading your story made me unbearably sad. The only person in my family (who I know of) who's had cancer is my grandfather. He had his ear off but that was when my dad was a boy. He had an aggressive in-ear cancer and at 80 years is still going strong. Reading about the good news five minutes later (haven't been on this board before seeing your thread pop up when I was choosing between the main board and the Jordy board) has really made my day. Keep fighting my friend, you WILL set the benchmark for beating this.

Everyone else, I started this thread on BigFooty last month about Jim Stynes, http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=639823, I know most of you hate the site but if we could all take the said ideas in this thread and mirror it to TSJ (don''t stop the positivity for Jimmy though!) it would be really, really great.

That's awesome news, two sheds. I was kind of dreading opening this thread back up again, but that's bloody fantastic news. The human body is an insanely complicated machine, so it's nearly impossible for anyone to know exactly what's going on. All they can do is guess based on what has happened to other people that they think this may have happened to - but not you. Keep winning the fight.

Great news Two Sheds.

We're all behind you.

Amen to that.....

This is fantastic new Two Sheds, thanks for keeping us updated.

:o My thoughts are with you, two sheds! - MFC, Tom Waits, stand up comedy - you're definitely needed on this planet for a lot longer yet!

Quick update;

- Finished treatment.

- The chemo worked brilliantly. By the fourth cycle (I had six all up) there was no cancer showing in the scans at all. Pretty much everyone was shocked about that. They're not saying I'm cured, because they can't once it's spread through the bloodstream, but they can't put a limit on how long it could stay dormant for, and obviously I can try the same treatment again if and when it comes back.

- Back at uni, doing comedy again (entered RAW Comedy this year and made the State finals), so I'm basically back to normal.

- Now it's a matter of getting scans every month or so, but if it stays stable for a while, they'll make it every few months. Basically the longer it stays stable, the less regularly I'll have to have scans. So yeah, it's a bit touch and go for now.

Pretty bloody stoked with how it's gone, actually. With the obvious exception of being diagnosed with the [censored] thing in the first place, I've been pretty lucky; things have gone way, way better than anyone would have expected when I wrote the OP.

Bring on the footy!

you should get in touch with Jimma, he would be inspired himself by your own story mate.

Good to hear you are fighting fit for the new season apart from all else-we need your voice to help rock the 'G :)

Bloody great news mate!

Good for you, twosheds. I've kept my eye on this thread every now and then. I hope the luck stays with you.

Great stuff Two Sheds.

I always like an MFC victory but anything MFC could do would pale into insignificance to the victory you have achieved.

Good luck and enjoy your future.

Brilliant news. :)

That is great news two sheds ! Really great to read. Enjoy the footy !

Bloody [censored] amazing news Two Sheds! Stoked for you and wish you all the best. I'm only 15 myself but I'va had to have a blood test, EEG and MRI to look over dizzy spells which the neurologist says is probably due to migraine. Get the results checked on friday but I'm still nervous that they might find a tumour or epilepsy (this paling in insignificance to the former). Can't comprehend what must have been going through your head.

Good On Ya Bud

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
