I know as much about Brock's injury situation as you do RR.

On yesterdays form i would hope he would be carrying an injury, because he had no influence on the game.

If he is fit then his days could be numbered. A major concern for the club.

I understand WYL.

I share your concern. I have made some pointed comments about Brock's overall performance since 2006 and got howled for it. My view is that he has plateaud in that time where injury and I think the changing game have impacted him. I would expect in a press conference he would say he is not injured. Does not mean he is not. I hope he gets a good pre season under his belt and he lifts his performances where his body can stand the rigours of a full season of AFL.

Agree. Also he will be a better player with quicker and more talented players around him.

Thats my hope

Or He won't be needed with better and more talented players on the list. :o

Hope he gets it together next year. It's mind boggling how different a player he is now (limited pre-seasons taken into consideration) to when he first burst on the scene. A pale shadow of the young gun he once was.

I really hope he comes out and plays some great footy in '10, because at this rate he'll be on the scrapheap as just another NQR before you know it. Would be a massive shame because he's a talented and determined individual, but his body just won't do what his mind is telling it to at the minute.

Yes i hope you are right. I know Brock has opened his wallet for the club so his heart is definately in the right spot, but he needs help in the form of speed in the middle.

Maybe he is more like a greg williams type player-bullet like handballs fed to runners.

Time will Tell, but we must be hard on him next year-no passengers...

McLean had a decent game against Freo.

And he hasn't done any PS speed work and his season has been stop-start with niggles - he may not be injured now but he hasn't been able to build a decent base of fitness.

And anyone alluding to us 'tanking' against Carlton are delusional and arrogant.

Carlton are at least a 6 goal better team than us.

We didn't need to try to lose, we are just that awful.

Rotations were down yesterday, i don't believe we have ever been Tanking myself, but Bails was being conservative yesterday.

A times we are awful and Carlton are better team than us but we left little to chance.

By the on field structure we had at times we were certain not to do a North or Freo this week.

Lucky we were experimenting..*Cough*

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
