A great article.

Jurrah nursed his friend and when the teenager said he wanted to see a game of football in Melbourne before he died he took him to the big smoke to show him what he had been doing. When they returned home his friend died and Jurrah buried him and stayed to mourn with his people. "

Just speaks volumes for the quality of this bloke as a human being. I feel priveledged to barrack fora team who this man calls his new footy home.

It was never clear to Collingwood what happened, but Jurrah told The Weekend Australian it was not homesickness. "One of my best friends was dying," he said. "I went back to be with him."

"No scout had been to see him play with Yuendumu in the Central Australian Football League, but when he signed up for three games with Nightcliff in the Darwin competition on a fly-in-fly-out basis three scouts saw his last game."

History tells us we ( MFC ) were there...and you can only imagine the reaction as they picked their jaws up and uttered " W... T.. F... !!!!! :lol:

Memo to Melbourne...instead of figuring out what to teach this guy...wonder what he can teach us !!!
