i know its early.. but might as well look to next season

We will have 5 of these kids running around in the red and blue next season

there is a fair bit of quality in that list and all should get major time in the side next season

who do you guys think has the best shot?

I do expect at least 4 noms next year at least. I think there's others too. Is Jurrah still in it? Maybe too old? I know you can be nominated more than once, a la Jones.

Add McNamara and Strauss to that list too, as well as perhaps a few other names with 3rd and 4th rounders, along with perhaps a PSD pick.

It's all a bit of fun, the Rising star is a bit of a media award. Still interesting to watch though.

Key point here - I'm amazed they have betting on this award.

The favourite ALWAYS gets it too

Jurrah turns 21 in November.. making him ineligible..

im 99% sure its 21 years or 10 games. which makes broughton and anthony etc ineligible this season

i was thinking trengove would be more popular, especially since he is carving the SANFL compared to school footy ala Rich

Jonathan Brown who is one of the best CHF in the game never won the Rising Star Award. Watts may never win the award either but he still may become a great CHF for Melbourne ala Jonathan Brown. :unsure:

Add Sammy Blease and possibly Jack Trengove to that list. 4 nominations seem almost a certainty.
