I didn't get in until halfway through the first quarter because for some reason their ticketing system is so slow. How and why I don't know.

Yeah me too I was in the line for what seemed an eternity when you know the game has started nothing worse...it seems its always like that...hopeless

Firstly, I am never going to a game there again. The fact that I couldn't see the boundary line below me without standing up AND standing on my toes is a disgrace.

Secondly, the room in front of you is probably half that of the MCG. At the G, you can walk past people without them having to fully get off their seats. At the Dome, people have to literally get up, stand and turn for you to walk past. Even old cinemas from the early 90s aren't that bad.

Thirdly, all of the restaurants at the Docklands suck considering what you pay. I went to Mecca Bar and paid $22 for a chicken kebab - one shish kebab on a small bed of rice. Wow. (I know this has nothing to do with the stadium but thought I'd throw it in lol)

I just hate Jihad Stadium.

I am a disabled person who walks with the Aid of canes, thus my aversion to this crap stadium. The room between seats is worse than flying economy- plus the angle of the stairways to get to seats is too steep (vertigo) so i refuse to go.

I pay $700 a year to watch Football at the 'G & shall continue to do so.

Last week on this site i was accused of being a "weak" supporter-don't do it again...

Just recieved my copy of "The Red Fox" from the Post Office..what an epic read.........

I think it is a fantastic place to watch any sports. Lots of places around the area to eat other than the stadium, i mean come on every other stadium charges food through the nose it is not just at Docklands.

You have it right, Cards. It's a great stadium and dead easy to get to with public transport. I love the MCG more but in all fairness the food and beverages prices are no different between stadiums. Both venues food is priced similarly and exceedingly overpriced. I hate paying $8.50 for a plastic flute of champagne and I am tempted to refuse to pay the price but I love a glass of champers at the footy.

Yeah i don't mind it either, although being in the back row (x) on Friday wasn't great. I've gone to games against sides other than Essendon before and had great seats. Obviously it's no 'G, but the atmosphere in the place with the roof on can be electric, you don't get rained on, and it's easy as to get to.

I've more of an issue with Essendon's need to fully ticket the fixture, than the ground itself...

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
