I've had 2 messages too.

One from the above name and another one the day before from 'deleted member' so obviously the admins are already onto it.

Best thing is to ignore the message and delete it.

I've deleted his/her/it's membership.

Thanks

received 2 also.... what can be done from this end !!! Not Happy !!!!

The mods are clearly doing their job, since both times I've received these messages they've been from 'Deleted Member'.

Most disappointing

I thought for a moment that I had a friend

oh well...

Finally a FRIEND!

And after blueing with RFlowerwing and Hazy.

But no...just a link to crappy porn site.

Normally,I don't open from sources unknown BUT when this message said from DEMONLAND and it said "personal message" I thought it would be ok.... silly me !!!!

Just got one from "Administrator" "New Forum Rules" :(

I hope the mods have been keeping a record of their IP addresses, if they're using the same one to create usernames can we ban it?

I doubt they'd be using the same one. Probably a proxy.

I got 1 from somebody called "jurdreda"with a link saying "new forum rules" but I don't know where it linked to coz I didn't click it.

I've received all the messages mentioned above. The first two I ignored but the one today with "new forum rules" had me thinking until I saw the member join date. GET A LIFE whoever you are?!?!?!?

Nobody outside of the above posters should be sending out any PMs in regards to forum rules or any other administration issues. To avoid falling into the stupid spam traps, make sure you check that the PM is not sent by any of the moderators, and if it isn't delete it.

It is unlikely that a poster you have never heard of before, or interacted with before on the forum will send you a PM, so exercise caution and delete anything that may look suspicious.

We'll try to resolve the issue as soon as we can.

Thanks :)

Spot on Deesrock.

The one with the subject of New Forum Rules linked to a Russian site. When you hover over a link you can generally see where it is linking to as it will appear in the bottom left-hand side of the browser window - you don't have to click on the link to see that. Saw this report on 60 minutes yesterday saying how there is a shyte-load of spam and viruses coming out of Russia at the moment, not sure if this is linked with that, but whatever it is, it is dodgy as sh*t and just don't click on anything!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
