Great idea 'mousey', could some clever 'mod' sticky this in a non post form at the top of the board?

I just wish i would receive my package!

Been just over a month since i payed.

I know people will be like who cares you will get it before the season starts but i disagree.

I am a struggling student and still managed to get the coin to rejoin this year through rough times.

The very least i expect is a quick turnaround of at max a week before i receive a package of what i have payed for.

I have contacted the club a few times and i am still waiting for an answer to where the hell is it lol

I just think its a tad poor.

Will be interesting to see if we can hit 30,000 by the end of round one.

I think we play collingwood round 2, I am hoping a round 1 win would mean that the following week we would sign up a heap more. Allowing us to crack 30,000. Which would be fantastic

It has a very romantic feel about it.

A great win R1....crack the 30,000 member mark... loads of press..then come out and smash the pies R2 and take a top 2 position.

I know a couple of people that always save buying their membership until R1. Bit of a tradition, so I think there will be a few more to come yet.

The thing i like about the curent Mfc is we even dare to dream..or realise that we will get 30000...it puts it OUT there. Good on them :)

If the Boys Play attractive & attacking Football we will crack 30,000 maybe more. It's up to the players now. Go Demons. We are given no chance at anything by the Media. Make them eat thier own words Blokes, play Hard & Tough respect will come.

Very very poor form. Whilst the club is struggling and trying its best to place its best foot forward for the future, we have idiots like yourself having a [censored] about petty and I mean "petty" issues.

You will get it I'm sure. Hang tight as I'm sure it will come. Would hate to see you at christmas time. I hope to god that whatever profession you get in doesn't allow you to ever not deliver anything let alone make someone wait.

The club doesn't owe you [censored] and it is a priveldge to be a member and not a chore. Glass half full, not empty if you know what I mean.

Just chill out and be proud that you have contributed to the wellbeing of the club, after all the $160 spent is worth every cent when we see the group build to what we hope will be an eventual premiership.

Whoa! Woo up there a little Demonic...

Although your right in saying that this issue is the least of the MFC's troubles, Mousey makes a good point.

If you've ever bought a membership, you would be used to usually getting them approx a week or so after the purchase. I certainly see it from his view.

I just want to get my 2009 Membership sticker on my car and show it proudly.

Absolutley agree...and by the way I have been a member for 12 straight yrs and it is common knowledge that delays can happen. We are in a Global Financial crisis and our funding to certain areas have been reduced. That's bot to say that its alright but I would rather our department concentrate on trying to sign up new members or retain members rather than follow up on a call from a member that hasn't received his MFC pack before the season proper. A waste of a resource and their time which is something we cannot ill afford. Let them concentrate on the task at hand and mouseys goods will arive. They won't do a runner with your goods as we are here to stay and that's what we all want to happen right? I understand the frustration but do you think you will not get it? No! So let it be and let's concentrate on making us stronger rather than pick the nitty and gritty out of the club.

There will come a day Mousey when you will be proud that u have backed the club and will stand in front of all and say proudly "Hell yeah, I am a melbourne supporter and I have back them in all the way, thru thick and thin".

Another thing, patience on your goods. Anyone who follows the demons needs some as its been a long time between drinks and if your biggest problem is waiting on a membership pack, how hard have you taken it that we haven't won a premiership since 1964.

Don't mean to be harsh but think it is a bit petty and just want you to get some perspective about how irrelevant it is in the overall scheme of things.

One way to stop the delivery times and the fear of not getting your pack before the seasons start. Jump on board early and this will be avoided.

The club really appreciates Mousey's position I'm sure and are trying their best to give him value for money in the coming years.

It isn't a shot at mousey just a reality check.

LOL you say its not a shot at me but it is by calling me an idiot!

WOW thanks for that,

I call it petty that you would over react and go off at me for having a complaint!

I pay $110 when i am BROKE!

I am a student with no income! I sold things to get this membership!

I am a interstate member so this $110 goes towards 1 game i get to see in Brisbane, i cant afford to travel to melbourne to use the other 4 games that it gave me!

So the membership package with the merchendise etc is all i get.

Back the flip off! Calling me petty and an idiot is way over the top, its people like yourself that puts people off joining and being part of a 'family' club.

cheers

EDIT- by the way i have made three new people join up here in brisbane, not huge AFL fans but have got them to sign up, now they are in the same position. Not having their stuff, not a great way to impress new members. So dont ever question my love for this club, i am doing as much as i can even if it is minimal so to be frank... $%&@ off cause your response has [censored] me off.

Its poor business thats all i am saying.

cheers

That's fine, you made your point. But there is no need to refer to Mousey as an "idiot." So it was a shot at him in that sense, Demonic1964.

MCC/MFC members. Don't forget you're entitled to a free junior membership.

If there's no-one you can think of in your family to give it to, perhaps you could use Demonland to seek a recipient!

They all count!

Free Junior Membership?? Does that include AFL members?? Thats a great Idea I have heaps of people who I could give these to

Pleased to see it over 24,200 at March 18. Go Dees!

Anyone know what the clubs tally was at before the bounce of Round 1 2008, it would be good to compare next week?

Posted

yep 24,201 it says in the counter on the top of this thread.

Pretty cool how that updates along with the site ;)

Posted
Stills says 23,944 to me?

Says 24,201 for me.

I did a check on last years post after the family day in 2008. On March 18, 2008 the tally was 20,381.

nearly 4,000 more than the same time last year.

Link: March 18, 2008

edit: It is pretty cool how it updates, cheers for that Mousey.

Hmm, still says 23,944 even in this thread for me. Must be something wrong with my browser.

Just checked on google chrome (using firefox now) and it says 24,201. Great news from the club.

We slowed down a fair bit over february but are back roaring again.
