No need for personal insults.

Normally I'd agree with this sentiment.

Instead I have to agree with TheShaft.

Your "Get tough by re-drafting CJ" idea is just about the stupidest thing I've ever read.

It is so stupid that simply insulting you is a more appropriate response than attempting to shine the light of reason on your vacuous notions.

Chris Connolly told me that it is something they have seriously considered. Whilst they wont be doing it, redrafting CJ has been talked about. So all of you morons are calling the coaching staff idiots and stupid. On second thoughts, you have a point!!

Alot of things get considered by football clubs some in the heat of the moment but common sense usually prevails and the consideration is often seen for what it really is. Stupid. I notice that MFC had the good sense not to take it to a proposal unlike your good self.

I am struggling to think why CC would seriously tell a football supporter that. Either you know him with some familiarity which attributing comments to him could represent a some breach of confidence, CC is engaging in some leg pulling with an unknown supporter expecting you would take the bait or you are making it up.

I suggest the 2nd option and the hook is pushing through

No, we're definitely not calling the coaching staff idiots and stupid... Guess again. :P

If this is true, then I suspect his motivation would have more to do with CJ 's accurate kick than the kind of mutually destructive spite that forms the basis of your ridiculous idea.

People can argue about whether CJ might have found a spot in the team. Given the contenders for half back flank I suspect that most would think that he is a tenuous proposition at best.

But this isn't why your "re-draft CJ" suggestion is so stupid - it's the reasons that you give for it.

The personal remarks are un-needed. However, even if it appears in a Real Footy article doesn't change the fact that re-drafting C.J is a really, really, really stupid idea.

Chris Connolly is a joker, everyone knows it. Yeah maybe its true, that re-drafting C.J might have been shortly discussed. But I reakon that the reporter has taken one silly thing that Chris Connolly has said and run with it.

Read between the lines.

Couldn't agree more Davis.

The point I'm getting at is, Frank had merit, he was attacked and it was allowed to continue.

Other than my comment, I only see people attacking his opinion.

And i still maintain it was one of the stupidest things I have read on this forum. That says a lot.

I think there are some very narrow sited people on the post that can't see the benifit of spin!

Well done frank great post. I'm glad these bashers have nothing to do directly with the running of our club!

For the record I really thought CJ turned the corner last year and hate to see players walk, but a bit of spin never hurt - Who cares if its seen as bad grapes, It puts a smile on my face!

Melbourne Football Club needs to get tough again. No longer can we be the whipping boy of the competition. I have no doubt you all agree. It is not an earth shattering comment. The question is how do we do it.

I propose we redraft Chris Johnson with our first pick in the pre-season draft. Whether we play him or not - who gives a crap. We shouldn't put up with a player walking out and not getting anything for him. Don't let Carlton get another freebie.

I say screw him - redraft him and he can enjoy Casey until he decides that it is an honour to play for our football club the same club that his father represented and won two best and fairest.

The point I'm getting at is, Frank had merit, he was attacked and it was allowed to continue.

You missed the point. Frank's proposal to give up our PSD pick for a player who doesn't want to play for Mfc is ridiculous and has nothing to do with Chris Connolly's recent comments - which is a bit of spin and made me laugh.

It's ridiculous to even suggest "don't let Carlton get another freebie" as "Gett'n Tough" which is the title of the thread.

Oh, High Tower you loveable giant. You need to realise that the purpose of these forums is to create a bit of banter. If you think for one second that I really believe that re-drafting CJ is a good idea then you have walked into way too many low door frames.

High Tower, Check the early thread Frank claimed this was directly from CC. Am I the only one that took this as a bit of banter back then?

Take a deep breath! - Remember there's nothing wrong with trying to stir up the CFC - They bring it on themselves!
