How do we get 2 Top 10 Picks?

Firstly, I like how everyone thinks outside the square, you all should be applauded for your ideas.

Call the afl and tell them that we played 19 on the field in the Carlton game last year. We will have the four points taken from us and record this as a loss.

 Nice effort. What would Vlad think??

Melbourne sends Nathan Jones and pick 17 to Essendon

Essendon sends Pick 5 to Melbourne

Melbourne selects Steele Sidebottom

Impressive display by Sidebottom on Friday, but how good were the defenders? Essendon want Hurley anyway.

How about a three way deal involving Melbourne, Carlton and Fremantle.

Melbourne trade Wonamerri to Fremantle and picks 17 & 19 to Carlton

Fremantle trade Warnock to Carlton

Carlton trade pick 6 and 56 to Melbourne.

Melbourne get two top 10 picks, Carlton get Warncok and two picks in the top twenty and Fremantle get a small forward to step in to replace the retired Jeff Farmer?

And with picks

1. Watts

6. Sidebottom

35. Salter

51. Browne

56. Klause

Here Melbourne lose two top 20 picks....we don't effectively get two top 10 picks, we get one top 10 pick out of this deal. Carlton would be very happy I'd assume with Warnock, 17 and 19 for pick 6!!! Freo get a rookie. This doesn't add up for any party. You a Carlton supporter? <_<

So we give up Wona, 17 & 19 for pick 6 & 56. Epic fail

I don't disagree, I just reckon it's one of the only ways I can see Melbourne getting a 2nd pick in the top 10. I can't see any other sides being interested that much in to many other of our players.

woenamirri needs to be kept. if he can shed some weight, he will be more of a gun next yr- bailey will develop him well!

I'm not sure it's even possible to trade a rookie who's being uplifted to the senior list.

With the state of Melbourne's list, I think the only reasonable possibility of getting a top 10 pick is Green or Davey plus pick 19. Not worth it.

Would much rather look at getting more in the top 25 than shifting picks from top 20 to (late) top 10.

Trade Bell and pick 35 for Crows pick 28

Trade Green and pick 28 for top 10 pick.

Dont know the crows list well enough to know if they would do this.

I think we would over pay, but thats how we would get a first round pick, or something close to this.

Bell and Pick 35 to Adelaide for Brent Reilly

Pick 19 to Brisbane for Mitch Clarke

Frawley and Sylvia to StKilda for Pick 13 and 4th round pick

Keep 1, 17 and 51.

Green to play forward in 2009.

Will any of these work?

Without intending to spark the 'Green / Bruce; Trade / Keep' debate...

IF we put the following two packages out there in trade week; could any club with a top ten pick be interested?

Brad Green + pick 17

Cameron Bruce + pick 19

No. I dont think so! Would need to offer a younger player and pick.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
