Richmond, Essendon, St Kilda would do it nicely.

Maybe drop one of those and fluke an unexpected win or two elsewhere. That'll keep them out of harm's way.

With our current injuries and new players still learning the game I'm quietly confident we'll bottom out nicely ready for a much more robust and competitive 2009 and beyond.

The Westcoast run home:

13 v... Geelong Subiaco Oval

14 v... Hawthorn Melbourne Cricket Ground

15 v... Richmond Subiaco Oval

16 v... Brisbane Lions Gabba

17 v... St Kilda Subiaco Oval

18 v... Fremantle Subiaco Oval

19 v... Essendon Subiaco Oval

20 v... Melbourne Melbourne Cricket Ground

21 v... Hawthorn Subiaco Oval

22 v... Geelong Skilled Stadium

youd think there was maybe 2 wins in there for them ( please !!)

Should beat Richmond at home, and by round 17, St Kilda will have put the cue in the rack so they'll beat the Saints at home too. They've yet to play us, and could steal wins vs Essendon and Freo.

The Shockers home run

13 v...St Kilda Telstra Dome

14 v...Essendon Subiaco Oval

15 v...Geelong Skilled Stadium

16 v...Melbourne Subiaco Oval

17 v...Port Adelaide AAMI Stadium

18 v...West Coast Subiaco Oval

19 v...Sydney Sydney Cricket Ground

20 v...St Kilda Melbourne Cricket Ground

21 v...Richmond Melbourne Cricket Ground

22 v...Collingwood Subiaco Oval

need them to win 2 more ( at least ) ..just to make certain...just in case we do anything silly like win a few games !!;)

On their current form they'll go close to beating the Saints, will beat Essendon and us, who knows about West Coast, so I wouldn't worry about them either.

I think the real danger is Richmond, especially if we beat them today. They're fading badly.

Call me optimistic but with a few Subi games to go and one D. Kerr back in the side (who would have given it a shake last night) I'd back them to win a few more.

Worsfold, if you can ignore the last part of his name, won't stand for half-hearted efforts.

Here's hoping anyway.

Worsfold won't stand for half-arsed efforts from the personnel on the ground.

But it's the personnel you have to worry about.

Wouldn't be surprised if Chad Fletcher, Embley, Braun etc play less games this year than they probably should

Rounds 14 and 16 appear certainties and 18 is ok either way I would think.

Carlton won, Freo won and I'm still optimistic that the Weagles will win another few.

The Demons made a bit of a resurgence that quarter. Davey's mark sensational.

Radio just reported 'the Demons still a chance'.

Difference now 13.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
