I thought that was his best game this year, got plenty of it, many hardball gets and tackled well. We be a superstar.

I agree. Yesterday's game was worth at least 10 senior games of footy to him in terms of advancement. His game yesterday was light years ahead on any other game he has played this season including Sandringham.

Along with Garland and Warnock, getting more game time can only increase his performance. I thought all three did admirable jobs yesterday, and will only be better for it.

Was quite impressed with his one-handed grab on the wing yesterday....

I really REALLY want to like him, but I get extremely irritated with players who play like millionaires but can't get the basics right.

Still, he's got plenty of time to improve all that... and at least he's quick ;)

The ones that play like millionaires are the ones that take the game on and fail. The great players are the ones that take the game on and succeed.

The rest are too scared to fail so they do nothing, and when the game is over they [censored] and moan about the ones that tried and failed.

he has had 20odd touches for two weeks in a row now. maybe not all 20 touches were great, but its an acheivement. im not sure CJ has ever managed that ? (although im not sure if CJ has ever played two games in a row!).

he has some nice attributes; pace, daring, self belief. hopefully he improves his kicking and learns to sometimes take the first option...

Agree.......I'd like to see CJ get some more games as well, and hopefully he will get his chance and take it!

We say this all the time about CJ and he fails to deliver in each game. Remember the beautiful pass he delivered to a North defender in rd 4.

CJ is a poor mans Simon Buckley at the moment.

here here!

Bucks will continue to surprise people here if he keeps getting the opportunity to do so and i hope he does cause he has been a player that has excited me for some time with his potential.

Continuing to show improvement but needs to learn how and when to work hard when we don't have the ball.

What do I mean by that?

Well I took a Queenslander [rugby union player] to his first ever live AFL game last Sunday and was pointing out to him who was good at reading the play and when and how fast they reacted to situations to prevent the opposition from having space to operate in. On cue the veterans Brad Green and Cam Bruce [YM will be having palpitations] provided excellent positive demonstrations of how it should be done.

A few minutes later Bucks was the centre side of centre half back as the Dorks were attacking down the HFF on the outer side...Bucks was ambling back when he should have been bolting back to block the space, even the Union rookie spotted it. Anyway the end result was a Dork running into the space between CHF and FF solo and kicking a vital goal.

I mean this as a constructive criticism as its a discipline that can be taught, so I think there is a lot more room for improvement, which is exciting!

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
