2017 AFLW fixture

So the AFL have confirmed again to me they are a bunch of sycophantic Eddie worshiping dicks!

Round 1 of the AFLW you would think you would put the two clubs who made this happen and already have a womens team following up in lights on the big stage. Nope, Pies v Blues on a Friday night. The dogs get Freo at Whitten oval and we get Brisbane at Casey, talk about being buried!

Our thanks comes when we play the dogs as part of a double header. the men play a Saturday twilight game then the women play afterwards. Not too bad and should be good night but still think the AFL are a bunch of dicks.

No more info at this point except for the Grand Final will be played during round 1 of the mens comp.

Not too bad but still [censored] round 1 we get an interstate side on a Sunday twilight at Casey and our only Friday game is played interstate! Good way to try and bury the club that built the f'n game AFL!!!! Dicks!

Could have made a fortune if the books were open on this.

100% predictable, but sickening all the same.

We pioneer the bloody thing, but find ourselves playing second fiddle to the favoured clubs.

Hope they play a nil all draw.

Can't wait for the clash of traditional rivals in Round 3.

No doubt for me it's a slap in the face to us and the doggies (more so us given how much work we've put into women's football) that it's not Dog v Dees as the ribbon cutting match of the competition. 

It has again made us take the back seat in this when we deserve to be given more of a commercial preference than anyone else. 

Also think it's a bad call to make the women's GF inside men's round 1. Missed opportunity as they could've had it on its own as a build up to round one in the previous week.

Anyway my rant ends with the fact that I head out of Australia on the 4th so I miss out on seeing a game myself.

I can't believe our home ground is at Casey. You want this game to grow and attract money paying fans and you send us out there.

Will be interesting to see the gate numbers of us compared to other teams, I reckon we'll be right down the bottom

Problem is that the G isn't available due to the Cricket. We don't have another option unless we can convince the AFL, MCC, and state government to cough up the cash for a new ground and stand over the rail line next to the G (which is where our home should be).
