  1. FIXED-ure; the art of providing an uneven playing field. To accomodate some and throw crumbs to others esp: Collingwood, Essendon, Sydney as opposed to Melbourne I have to agree though that it has been a good year for highlighting our dillema and positioning for draft picks/development. Not all is lost!
  2. I don't think I have met a nicer or more genuine bloke. Took time to speak to supporters at the game Sunday including my daughter and despite it all is still smilling.
  3. Goodes incident was potentially far more dangerous and deserved a week.
  4. Is that the one they brought last year and didn't get to use Didn't see it because I don't have eyes in the back of my head but any sledge based around telling us to get off the ground is laughable. One thing Collingwood fans should know by now is you can't change history such as a fist full of lost GF's to Melbourne or the fact that the MELBOURNE C.G. has been our ground for 150 years. They have been a tennant for about 7 or 8 years.
  5. On two occasions Collingwood players were tackled and dropped the ball in attempting to kick it. These incidents were unrewarded (I noticed Collingwood did get a couple). Also a push in the back is always a push in the back, but kudos to Didak for probably realising he would get away with it deep in the pocket (first goal) Consistency is what we want and we didn't get it yestrday.
  6. I have to agree with others. this tells us nothing, gives us nothing and I had to endure 5 secs of Rick Astley. Delete or lock pls.
  7. Yes you did but I am too polite to tell you what I think. Is it OK if I bump this thread when he re-signs with the tankers?
  8. Caro's blood is black and yellow.
  9. A mix is essential for all suporters to see their team. Unfortunately the AFL is driven by the networks and stronger clubs and couldn't give a flying you know what about the fact that its draw is unequitable and unfair.
  10. I don't see these as negatives Jaded. He has only played about 10 games and has already taken a quantum leap in his decision making form pre-season. He will fit perfectly with a hard, tough and accountable game plan.
  11. We were well and truly outumbered (3 to 1 is my guess). The turn out in the MCC was pathetic also. If we are still the most heavily supported team by MCC members I will go he. I know there are many who buy MFC memberships and come along every week but the majority would have to be free loaders, there in the good times, absent in the bad.
  12. Sauce on White > Jamar??
  13. Has anyone told him that they are staring a club from scratch on the GC. I didn't think it was possible to have your head up you rear with your foot in your mouth as well. No wonder he didn't want to be filmed saying it.
  14. Saw the great man as well and didn't the day turn for the better
  15. I dragged myself out of bed for the first time in a days to get to the game Sunday so had no throat when I got there. Left happy but straight back to bed with the flu Sunday night, the whole experience still doesn't seem real!
  16. The umps view was at an angle as well because he was behind the line. He would have had no idea if it crossed the line thus he didn't call it a goal...which IMO after watching a replay, it clearly was.
  17. Great suggestion. Why don't you e-mail Toyota? Or how about Jacko and Kelvin Moore? Saw the new add today and thought it was probably the poorest of the series so far. BTW that is the third Carltank "highlight". Maybe in 20 years time they can do one with Pratt handing Ju$$ a brown paper bag or Libba telling the carlton players to turn the ball over in the Kreuzer cup game.
  18. Well have a look at your avatar. Pot>>>>Kettle
  19. As good as he can be Fev is a sook, a clown and full of himself. We could not take the risk as he will eventually return to his instinctive (stupid) behaviour and drag us down with him. We should make him an offer though that will ensure his ego continues to swell and Carlton pay top dollar to retain him, then move in on another of their uncontracted players if there is anythone worth looking at?
  20. Eddie Betts would be a midget.
  21. Rotate it. If cream is supposed to rise to the top lets apply that theory and see who has the goolies. I would inlude those outside the leadership group given the (physical) abscence of Neitz and Yze from the team.
  22. I was actually wrapt when he was given a run on Fev late in the game. As much as a I hate Fev (totally unlikeable human being IMO) I can not fault the example he set today for second efforts and backing himself (i.e. makes his own luck).
  23. Carlton supporters will be coming out of their caves after last week so with good weather I think 42,500. I just hope MFC supporters are motivated after the canning we have had in the media so far this year.
  24. Melbourne's projected membership of 30,000 is currently struggling at just over 24,000; its home-game attendances have been poor with a 0-4 win-loss ratio to date. Mate, it's sandwiched between references to this year. No one is denying our crowds are [censored] poor but it is not a fact this year, yet.
  25. I would demand as a minimum from The Russian that he jump into Kreuzer at the first opportunity and for a Matt Thomas style tackle by anyone on Judd.
