  1. Sounds like you need to apologise to the target of your topic JJC. Clearly not a bloke who likes publicity or to see his name in the papers. Shame really because he sounds like a very worthwhile human being. Given nothing would bring more publicity than slinging $$ into a football club (ask Joe) I doubt we will ever know if he has or will?
  2. Correct, I can tolerate Aker although I agree he is now overexposed. Fevola is schizophrenic and should not be allowed in the media at all. As soon as I see his head I instinctively reach for the remote. Obvioulsy I am not in TFS lowest common audience denominator.
  3. Hawthorn topped up witth Guerra and Dew! You roll the dice. Unfortunately I think Danners was deluded in how close we were to a flag. He knew we didn't have the key postion personnel but blame here must also go to recruiting. We held on to a lot of fringe players when we could have been trying to unearth some KPP's.
  4. Cheers Barry. From my point of view there would have been little interest in Sandy if not for Melbourne players being there but you have made me a fan and as a success straved footy follower I was glad to go out and enjoy watching a successful Sandy outfit over the last few years.
  5. Calm down. The facility the Saints will be working from is a permanent base and presence. Our move to Casey whilst ongoing is only temporary pending new digs at Olympic Park or wherever? In any case I wouldn't be too jealous of StKilda as they will be operating in a much smaller municipality in terms of growth potential.
  6. Fevola as well. That will stop me from watching, rather watch vomit dry.
  7. It's a sad that even if we win on our merits there will be a perception around that WC have tanked and not put in their best side. Since it makes no difference to us at this stage I hope we thrash them and put the heat right on them, probably very, very wishful thinking <_<
  8. No Change unless Davey is fit then Carroll out simply because I don't think he will be on our list next year. Jamar may come in for White but would make little difference. Otherwise when you have been pantsed like that you need the opportunity for redemption remembering we play the next to bottom side next week providing the perfect opportunity.
  9. Made what was an appalling spectacle from a Melbourne point of view worse. Far to many frees paid for incindental cotact. Add to your list a high tackle paid to Selwood where he tried to slip a Whelan tackle and the 50 paid to Geelong in the last where Prismal? instigated a fight.
  10. You do know we are stone motherless and were playing last years premiers and the clear best team (by a mile) in the comp? <_<
  11. No he isn't. Was helping Whitey at one stage. I think he should get the sack, he is way out of line and obvioulsy still very willing to cross the line despite his recent hiatus and evidently failed re-education.
  12. Suzanna, it is shame that people on both sides look it in terms only of "what is in it for me". I took the time to have a look at the report which council voted on last night which tells a different story to the biased opinions. There is a net benefit to the Casey community even if there is an intial outlay which looks bad to struggling locals. Even though I live at the opposite end of town I am willing to support the club in Casey as I did by going to our pre season game there this year. I notice the MFC will be lobbying the AFL to have a "boutique" stadium at Casey which now appears to be high on the AFL agenda. The investment in such a facility if its happens there will easily offset any initial outlay and possibly see other teams play at Casey.
  13. With Neita gone I would have thought getting Robbo back up and running would be a priority.
  14. Interesting that he reckons he knows how to cope with tagging and is so proud he is prepared to boast about it thus he will endure intense sledging on the weekend from an experienced Lions outfit and thereafter I anticiapte will have nothing to say.
  15. Hardly surprising given his dislike of Gardner and the appointment of McNamee. If Vlad is serious about helping us get a better deal with the MCC he should immediately employ the AFL's substantial leverage against them to do just that. He knows we are in no position to go it alone.
  16. Wouldn't be remotely interested. Would also be competing for a spot which Aussie is and/or Maric could be occupying which would work against their long term development.
  17. Didn't upset me, didn't amuse me! What amazes me is that people take the time to write this stuff, especially when it is so unoriginal, and that applies to the Collingwood one as well (though I did laugh at that one)
  18. WJ has alluded to exactly that in earlier posting questioning why the departure of George Savvides (overseeing an expanding loss) should be seen as weakening the club? B)
  19. I reckon Greeny would be safe even if he is out for a couple, by far an away the best this year. Looking for a good showing by Wheats and be interested to see how Brad Miller polls.
  20. Buckley, the rest of his game is developing nicely. Ultimately we won't be succesful if we rely solely on high draft picks to develop our midfield, but I take your point. I am undecided about who to draft mainly because I haven't seen any of them play. If we get off the bottom (which now looks likely) we may have our choices narrowed but we need all of a ruckman, midfielder(s) and KPP so we can't miss!
  21. I get sick of repeating this but a large part of Geelongs debt was written off by its bankers (fact). Geelong are able to tap into an extremely profitable stadium arrangement at home but play high drawings games in Melbourne. Brian Cook is a good adminstrator but in reality it took a whole lot of things to happen including success on field to turn Geelong around. You are comparing Apples with Oranges. Going forward the MFC needs to wipe its debt as a starting point. Surely people here realise the effect of interest and rates are rising? We then need assets, one of which will be land at Casey but imagine if we got over the 5 million!! It's all very well to say the debt demolition strategy lacks imagination but I wonder what your suggestion is? <_< It has worked for St Kilda and Richmond in the past. There is no need to become reliant upon it with proper forward planning.
  22. Love it...still. And for me it doesn't seem that long ago!
  23. Exactly what I said 10 years ago. Never take it for granted. Vlad would bone us in the blink of an eye.
  24. Diesel will be in the photo
