  1. Definitely framed around draft picks. Carltank being so short and Richmond on the same line as us. Toiges were not even in the "preferred four". I am contrary to you on betting RRR. I am going to put some on Juddy coming to MFC based on a gut feel. I think not enough weight is being given to his choice in the matter and WC will not be out to burn Chris Judd. He has been a good servant for them and a premiership captain.
  2. Ha! He will need looking after when he finishes fotball will he? Reckon the bloke will be able to stand on his own two feet, probably can now. Sounds a lot like a rumour started by a feral who needs looking after.
  3. Agree 100% especially in relation to this sentiment. Should the "Waiting for Juddman" special feature containing that hilarious cut and paste of Robbo's bod be in the Judd File?
  4. Interesting question. Unfortunately it requires access to the thought processes of the man himself but... Given what we know about his obvious affection for family and friends, no priority on $$$ but desire to join a club with some promise of success I would say Melbourne. I would suggest the club play heavily on the family angle because of the clubs mentioned Melbourne is most representative of family club, more so than Collingwood (feral), Essendon (herd mentatility), Carlton (machismo)
  5. Again this is just opinions. Chris Judd doesn't need to go to a 'franchise'. He is the 'franchise'. Teams will want or need Chris Judd not vice versa. we all play football funnily enough. At Collingwood he would be fourth fiddle to figjam, Eddie and that attention seeker in the gold jacket. At Carltank he would be the only fiddle. At Melbourne he would be the prmier for a perennially underperforming team in desperate need of direction and purpose.
  6. Well done Finks. And congrats on the engagement as well. :D
  7. Speculation and inuendo IMO. Could end up at either but IMO. As usual the same teams are mentioned in these dispatches (rumours!) and I would rather wait unitl Judd has at least come to Melbourne and actually spoken to some people before listening to any of it.
  8. He can have my groin since his is stuffed.
  9. Well said Zebraman and quite in contrast to Growler. Only have to see the Melbourne suporters at Sandy games to know the alignment is well supported. The endeavour I saw today from Melb and Sandy players was excellent, can't help poor kicking. Didn't Juice risk an increased suspension this week to ensure he could play finals for Sandy? Disapointing Sandy is now gone for the year but you cannot complain about three in a row and 4 out of 7.
  10. I wish you would because you said the same thing last time and I reckon it would be more myth than legend.
  11. Thanks KJ. Dean Bailey has been pretty guarded in his comments over here thus far and I think that interview revealed a bit more. What stood out were the references to the list and the word 'overhaul' and the fact he had a discussion with Bohdan B. about his take on what needs to happen there. Both these areas are prime for improvement so he is certainly making the right noises IMO. Had to laugh at Essendon feeling he didn't have a high enough profile. When you look at it now Melbourne had the same choice as Essendon and they chose Bailey over Sheedy. Yet Melbourne is the club needing a profile not Essendon. Melbourne put substance above profile.
  12. Had you included his name in the title of the thread I wouldn't have bothered <_<
  13. Why not go back another two years you will see two grand finals and a premiership. With Melbourne over 40 years you see two grand final thumpings.
  14. The more I think about this the more I am convinced it has to be and will be Sheedy. PG said all candidates could definitely coach the side next year. Given this why wouldn't you go for the games greatest promoter and publicity generator in a landmark year, particularly when you are broke? In this day and age of coaching 'departments' there will be set up ample delegation to ensure we get the best out our list and not leave it all up to Sheeds, even if this means bringing in fresh blood. Who in coaching circles wouldn't want to work with Sheeds and they may fill his shoes in three years time? If it doesn't happen I will be perplexed.
  15. News report on the same station had Sheedy and Bailey as front runners. I suppose it depends on your source!
  16. I would rather he occasionally gets pinged than turn it over or cough it up so long as it isn't in the forwrd 50 it at least gives us a chance to get numbers back. Anyone who goes as hard as he does and tries to break packs is going to get done sometimes. He generally uses his teamates when they are there but it isn't always possible or the best thing to actually release the ball even when you have had prior opportunity.
  17. I will only be satisfied with the process once I know what "it" is that gets the winning candidate across the line. If it is Chris Connolly and the reason is "he did a good job at Freemantle" I will pewk. He has done no more at Freo than Danners did at Melbourne, he is too similar to Danners IMO and the fact he played for Melbourne and the symmetry looks good for the media is totally irrelevant. I am holding my breath to hear the reasons for any decision more so than the decision itself, that is waht will convine me about the process.
  18. Get real. 95% of the people at the ground wouldn't have even been aware of that. Perhaps you offering your assessment after watching it on TV? They were booing initially IMO because of a free given to Neitz. Personally I didn't take offence. Only recognised champions get booed.
  19. Faster than a fly on fresh dog sh..
  20. So is this Ben Johnsons second time this year on charging? If so he is even more of DOG than I thought last night. He had a week to pull out of that bump and go in low for the ball.
  21. Well done Hards. Your record as a captain/coach will be hard to beat. Good luck in the US and depending on where you go you may be able to have a kick over there at a similar standard
  22. Hopefully your source is happy for you to leak! But I have to say if that is true then I am happy. Come on down Sheeds
  23. Wrong!! It is a part time job and a voluntary one at that but with full time hours. He would definitely be indifferent to carping supporters who suggest spills of the board for no other reason than their "not happy". If anyone proposing a spill does not have all the neccesary skills or people to do a better job then they would serve the club better volunteering their time to help in other ways. I suspect bazza is one of these people?
  24. He said he had had a couple of messages so we don't know if these were text or voice or what was even in them. Could have been a message offering him first crack for all we know I any case. Voss isn't interested in the MFC. Wish I was wrong but it is the impression he leaves me with. He obviously returned or took calls form Carlton last week.
