  1. Dear fellow Demon, I'm off the coast of Bergen, Norway coming to you live via satellite. There are good and bad points about being here. The good - I missed the bulldogs game, it's summer, it's 10.30 pm and broad daylight. The bad - it's summer (10 degrees), it's 10.30pm and broad daylight. It got me thinking - where do demon supporters chime in from when perusing the pages? We keep hearing here and there where posters are but I thought it would be nice to hear where you are if not in Melbourne. So if you're from Ballarat or Bucharest, please let us know where you are even if you rarely, if ever post. Over to you:
  2. I successfully converted a bomber supporting mate after Sunday. It cost me a 3 game membership (paid for yesterday) but the transition is complete. Go Dees!
  3. Thanks for the in depth review...................of the food
  4. Some of this stuff is priceless: http://bomberblitz.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1462-official-ess-v-demons-review/ Here's one: "Is Hirdy back yet?" or this: "Another decade of mediocrity coming up" Some of it's pretty amusing too
  5. Below is where (if) Melbourne players rank in the Top 50 players in the categories of kicks, handballs etc: Total Disposals N Jones - 10th D Tyson - 37th Kicks: B Vince - 4th N Jones - 18th Handballs: D Cross - 9th N Jones - 20th D Tyson - 33rd Marks: J Frawley - 10th L Dunn & D Tyson - 18th Frees for: No prizes for guessing who No. 1 is N Jones - 4th D Cross - 18th J Viney - 39th Frees against: D Tyson - 21st L Dunn - 42nd D Cross - 42nd Tackles: D Cross - 12th R Bail - 29th N Jones - 38th J Viney - 49th Goals: Nil (Dawes 57th) Behinds: Frawley - 28th Vince and Pedersen - 48th Hitouts: M Jamar - 14th Spencil - 23rd C Pedersen - 34th Interestingly D Cross 57th
  6. Agree. I assume he just wandered off and not evicted.
  7. Happy to eat humble pie on the Pedersen front. It's amazing what a bit of confidence will do! I think he's relishing smashing into bodies at the moment - and he does it very well!
  8. Great to hear from you Nudge. Please feel free to swing past again around draft time (if not before).
  9. Don't forget to allow time to attend training the day before and post a full report!
  10. McDonald has put off contract discussions until year's end too but nothing sinister in it
  11. lol Dude, you have the sanctimony market all wrapped up
  12. If you have the AFL app, it blocks out SEN and Tunein whenever there's a game on
  13. Barrett works for the AFL. He's going to trot out the company line - which in the Viney case is utter codswallop
  14. JOKE Is this some odd AFL face-saving exercise?
  15. Terlich's errors gave Carlton 2 goals in the first quarter. First one, turnover by kicking directly to a Carlton player and second, falling over at the crucial moment to give his opponent an easy goal. No one dispute's Terlich's attack on the footy but he needs to stop making dumb decisions and errors. Gold Coast are a lot faster than us. I don't think we can bring in Toumpas or Trengove at this time. the master - I think Trengove is at Casey to try and undo some of Neeld's handy work. Ie. his efforts to make him more defensive have turned him into a reactor (and a slow one at that) rather than an initiator. I think we should we should set up a fund to offer a reward to anyone that can find Trengove's speed. Clisby in for mine and either Evans or Blease as sub.
  16. I would've liked someone to snot Robinson and it would've been nice for us to, for once, take advantage of his ordinary disposal. But, it he's out then that's it for the tough guy act
  17. I don't think Roos will play underdone players, which rules out Kent and Viney (amongst others). Bail will stay in to be a defensive forward on Hurn, when not butchering the ball. I hope T-Mac and Fitz come up so we can drop Peder for stand-in Gawn, but we're so lacking in tall options he might stay. For mine: Out Pedo and JKH for Blease and Gawn NB Response to striker
  18. + 1 with daylight inserted between votes 3 & 4
  19. I think GWs have worked out to trade their homebound players while under contract so they cant hold them over a barrel when their contract expires ie. Caddy. They'd have a good handle on the players they cant convince to stay so why the hell not trade them as they did with Tyson, rather than leaving it another year when they possibly might've only been able to deal with Richmond. Worked for GWS with pick 2 and it worked for us - trade-wise. We should also factor in that there wont be too many homesick players demanding to be traded only to the MFC when they're out of contract so this brings opportunities. If it is a GWS strategy and it makes some sense - no doubt we'll be on the lookout for more.
