Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]
Roger Mellie replied to Dr evil's topic in Melbourne Demons
The 'Draft Guru' Callum Twomey pronounced it as Petrarkah. Callum would know because he's a draft guru. Hope this helps -
SEN SAYS WE GOT PICK 3
-
There seems to be an issue with Ben re-signing with Carlton and Freo circling (sauce AFL website). We could trump them without raising a sweat. Should we.......mmm contested possessions... ?
-
His name sounds familiar - I think he nominated last year but was overlooked?
-
Do you think they still are?
-
Or - Sorry Mitch, it didn't work as planned - you're off to GWS. Thanks anyway.
-
I agree, we shoulda coulda got him then for nothing but we didn't, nor did any other club. I'm just asking the question is Greenwood and 15 (and say maybe a swap of Norths 2nd for or our 3rd for instance) worth Pick 3? I don't believe I said we should trade Greenwood for Pick 3.
-
Is Greenwood and North's Pick 15 a possibility for Pick 3? Gives us Pick 2 - Brayshaw ? Petracca Greenwood Pick 15 (say Weller/De Goey) (Maybe a swap of picks later in the piece)
-
Neade had a blinder (for at least a half) against Freo the week before if my failing memory stands up. Played a big part in Port's comeback.
-
Just trade the [censored] to the highest bidder. None of this tip-toing around 'poor' Mitch and letting him choose. Whatever the best deal is for the MFC. I'd quite like to see him at GWS for Shiel (or part thereof). If it turns out he never plays another game, then Collingwood is fine.
-
Ineligible - not possible to put the Filth and POTY in the same sentence.
-
Touching! Who came up with that serenade? It's very fitting
-
Thanks for the feedback Ginge! I could happily see Schroder in our side ahead of a few. What's his pace like? I saw one or two of Sheringham's games late in the season and would steer well clear. Looked like a poor man's version (in fact destitute) of Horlin-Smith. Has Burbury got any other tricks? Tank, speed? Or is he a forward option only?
-
None I hope - and thanks for the clarification and Theo
-
Can someone verify this or otherwise: Only St Kilda can force us to use our 2nd round pick on Stretch (because they were below us on the ladder) and if they don't, we can get him with a third round pick (unless another club bids their first round pick). Thanks
-
i'll be mightily [censored] off if all he gets asked is about Adelaide in the press conference.
-
If Roos can wave the wand over Garlett and turn him into Lewis Jetta (or Neville Jetta for that matter) I'm happy for a Blease / Garlett swap
-
Just announced on SEN that Sam Blease has asked to be traded and MFC has agreed. Not earth shattering, but official nonetheless. No further details

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS
Roger Mellie replied to Demanding Success's topic in Melbourne Demons
The point is Fence, you're saying this after the fact, not back then so STFU FFS. You'll feel much more at home in the Wines Lounge. If it helps start a Newton Lounge as well (you know you want to!). -
I'm pretty excited by the prospect of him getting a full preseason under his belt starting in November. He's got all the tools, coming into his third year of footy, he isn't a rake. Go you good thing!
-
I think it's just the unknown factor and that he's not one of the candidates we had earmarked. I'm happy with his credentials. He just needs to make a name for himself. Very happy with the coaches he's played under, worked under and will work under.
-
Astute drafting and trading. They don't seem in the slightest bit daunted by the age of their list either, unlike us. Add in the Burgess factor and they seem to have all pieces of the pie (maybe not the financial slice, just yet)
-
Can all the mods dump all the Ollie Wines threads in here too along with Picket Fence's 200 broken record repeat nauseating references. Thanks
-
No he's not. Another terrible kick, actually shocking kick. I've seen him do a Jordie McKenzie in front of goal. I hasten to acknowledge, he's an excellent mark but middling to ordinary ruckman.
