  1. A former top 10 pick and only 23 years old will probably be on the lookout for a new club at the end of the year. He’s been hit by injury over the last couple of seasons and might relish being at a new club. Would we look at getting him?
  2. We won 4 out of the 5 games we played in the month of August. The one which he didn’t play in was a loss and it was the game Jonesy didn’t play in.
  3. Long time since I played footy but will never forget the season when I suffered a quad injury. It was painful trying to kick the ball and I ended up missing four matches. When I came back, I felt a niggle as I ran onto the ground after half time and when I got a kick, the same pain was there but worse. Missed the finals and was still having pain in the quad area well into summer. Advice to Pendlebury: give it a rest for another week.
  4. Worse than 186 ...
  5. 6. Max Gawn 5. Christian Petracca 4. Clayton Oliver 3. Oscar McDonald 2. Ed Langdon 1. Jack Viney
  6. Can’t wait till Anzac Day eve.
  7. 1964 was a long, long time ago for our last premiership flag. Why is it so?
  8. What happened to Joel Smith?
  9. JKH signed with a club in the amateurs.
  10. Can’t see it at pick 10. Try 28 where most experts think he should be selected.
  11. Adding to the hype is Jay Clark who is also tipping we’ll take Kossie with pick 10. Jay-Z says Melbourne are looking at selecting a draft bolter with Pick 10. Not so sure about taking a 170cm small at 10.
  12. Meh - no biggie in naming the best 40 in alphabetical order. Stick your neck out Shifter and make some real predictions by revealing where they’ll get selected.
  13. Yes - there’s a bit of a shock at No. 2 but not much of a shock for those who have been following this draft for longer than the last month. Tom Green is very, very, good. But the real shock might come for those of you who are fixated on us picking Brodie Kemp at No. 8 - have a look at where he’s rated here. Top 30 AFL young guns revealed — and there’s a shock at No. 2
  14. But it can be a bit concrete than that in cases where information somehow leaks out - either via club recruiters mentioning that they have an interest in a particular player or via a player or his parents telling others that they had been interviewed and been given an indication they might be drafted.
  15. Is that sort of thing is considered draft tampering given some of the things the AFL seems to be suggesting in the context of live trading?
  16. I want to direct the movie
  17. Just to add some perspective to Jack Martin, these are his career averages (per game): 16 disposals, 5 marks, 0.8 goals, 3.7 tackles, 2 inside50s, 1.7 clearances https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pc-gold-coast-suns--jack-martin
  18. What now with Billy Stretch? Delisting?
  19. Did we have any Academy players in this game?
  20. They say that Melbourne cooled on Gray as it ramped up its efforts for free agent Magpie Jamie Elliott, but is now the time to consider him again.
  21. Not good to get dropped for a final after being a regular for so long. We need a player of his type in our forward line.
  22. Melbourne’s overall percentage for the season is 77.9%. It’s percentage in time on is 77.2% so there’s no significant difference. The stats that I would be interested in would be our scores for and against (and percentage) in final quarters this year and also our relative shooting accuracy percentage (last week 29 v 75 for the Swans). I suspect both figures will go a long way to help us understand what ailed the club in 2019.
  23. Allowing Stephenson to play in this round is yet another outrageous aspect of the AFL’s handling of this scandal and goes against all logic and the way suspensions have been dealt with in the past 120 years. But ... as a sign of how the way the competition is run, we will gratefully accept the decision to allow him to play if it helps Casey make the finals :?
  24. 6. Clayton Oliver 5. Bailey Fritsch 4. James Harmes 3. Christian Salem 2. Christian Petracca 1. Jordan Lewis
