  1. I don't remember all of those games, but the ones I do were great! One game I also enjoyed with my brothers from the Ponsford stand was the 1998 Queens Birthday match. I think it may have been Big Jim's 250th. But Shaun Smith was the difference.
  2. David Schwartz was more than a 'good player'. Can't believe you just compared Clayton Oliver's 2017 season to Schwartz's 1994 season! And suggesting it was better is even more shocking!! The footy season's over, a time to reminisce.
  3. God love Lyon, Neitz and White but i found/find Stinga, Jayden and Petracca more exciting type players. Some others would be Ricky Jackson, Powell, Cow, Yze, Pickett, Sean White and Darren Bennett from outside fifty!
  4. He's a club legend/favorite son. Bitter sweet reminiscing his career, but i still love doing it. As a fairy tale it would be nice if he's son could play for us, but i'd rather concentrate (eventhough it's not your point) on our current No 5 who I think is the greatest talent we've had since the great Schwartz. Love the passion still(always) there for David! Red & Blue.
  5. It's a good team. I'd want Tingay, Jeff White and Shaun White in there.
  6. I don't think we've had a talent like him since Schwartz. He should get better and better. Ps, he is brilliant to watch!
  7. Is it just me, or does Jeff Kennet make Hawthorn colours even uglier?
  8. I recently put in a thread and confused people with the premise. Can you please paraphrase for me?
  9. I agree. With the people that i watched with, we all thought Houli was the most likely. But Dusty with the limited possession he had, he was great with it.
  10. I wrote them off weeks back, many did. Now they've beaten the top side of the year! and won the Grand Final!! I'd like to hear from Melbourne fans who aren't hater's of Richmond. I'd like to hear of how they enjoyed the Grand Final?
  11. Excellent year! Hope next year he stays fit and interested. I say interested because i think he gets dropped unfairly.
  12. Clean cut generally means well presented, orderly, predictable, trustworthy. Yes i have attended games this year, even though i live interstate. What Oliver is obviously one of your favorites, and many at Demonland it seems, so what? I used him as an example. I think he's good player. My point is i'm worried that there may be a club bias that determines a imbalance between ''brains a brawn'. It's a provocative hypothesis that i'm making.
  13. I like the sting in your tongue, it's Barassi esque!!!
  14. I agree with you about him being in our best 22. And I think you made good points about his season. I think there is room for him and Hannan in the starting team. I hope he gets going for 2018!
  15. I think he proved to be one of our top forwards. Glad to have him in our list.
  16. A great year. A clever and unique player. Very aware of who's around him when he has possession. Great forward pressure, good hands, good decision maker and great kick. He also seems to have a good temperament.
  17. I didn't know that. Funny. He became very important for the Lions.
  18. Is that your own football card? I remember collecting those! Pike was pretty to the point. Impressive career!
  19. My questions and examples weren't well framed. Yeah i was following, but very young.
  20. I don't think it's that strange. The purpose is to provoke some opinion. I've heard many Melbourne fans and other fans speak about Melbourne being too soft for years. And I agree with that. So I wanted to put in out there.
