  1. The AFL say that if a player ducks in a tackle it's play on. I'm mentioning this to highlight what i think is vagueness in the rules.
  2. Players get hit in the head every match in various ways. If Cotchin was intending to connect with Shiel's head he would connected better than that. He's attack was ferocious, definitely a bit dangerous, but Shield's dropped his head very low in the contest!
  3. Did Sloane get reported for his bump on Dangerfield? That looked quite high.
  4. The rules of the game are going in a direction away from tackling, bumping. And fans like myself don't like that. I don't play football anymore, but i must be frustrating changing the way you played and practices every year!
  5. People die playing professional sports. Not sure if someone's died on the ground playing VFA/VFL/AFL.
  6. Sorry Macca, I mean't to attach your statement. Bravo!
  7. I'm a little too inebriated now to explain my theory about the AFL projections of the game in years to come, but I can say with pretty good confidence that it's model will be a game that is the most inclusive to the most people possible. It makes sense business wise. I'd like to be proven wrong. I wonder if clubs will start to separate from the AFL soon.
  8. So which part of the your body can contact an opponents head? The AFL is definitely to blame. The AFL is run by people who have short term goals adjusting our game rapidly for their own benefits. If your a stickler for the current rules that's your choice. But this is almost more of an issue of Aussie Rules suddenly not being the enjoyable game people thought it was.
  9. Go Tigers!!! Please smash the Crows back to South Australia! If Cotchin gets suspended, they may need to regard this game as something other than Australian Rules Football!
  10. A good year. His kicking's quite strong. His handpassing also, but way too many risky handpasses. Seemed fit and fast. Enthusiastic. He needs to improve his tackling to remain in the midfield. And of coarse he needs to stop putting teammates under pressure with low percentage handballs. That caused alot of turnovers, and was very frustrating to watch. The coaches need to get him kicking more.
  11. Jayden will use his awesome acceleration to Torpedo a victory!!!
  12. Had a good year. He was one of the few players that could slow the play down and find teammates. With so many others frantically playing on a causing turnovers, it was good seeing the ball in his hands. Think back to all the frustrating turnovers throughout the season.
  13. I think he was valuable and his distribution quite accurate. I'm a bit shocked to hear so many against him and in a careless way like putting down a racehorse. And people talking about turnovers, gosh, half the team were constantly doing that throughout the season. Clayton Oliver seems to have a concession card for making errors.
  14. Legend. The guy has been doing it on his own for years and sometimes I wonder whether he's shocked to finally have other players around him that can also perform at a high level around the ball. After returning from injury it didn't take him long to start crashing packs again! Love watching him.
  15. Like a few have already said, his performances up until his injury were average to good for him. He's goal kicking accuracy seems to have improved. But he's awareness and decision making is still far too inadequate, as is his tackling. Also he still struggles to take clean possession of the ball down low. I don't like fans jeering him, it's counter productive. I'd rather fans express there thoughts to Simon in other ways like, "we want Cam Pederson in the first team!', or something else positive.
