  1. He’s gone missing this qtr, Swans KIDS are running rings around us.
  2. Because we accept players ā€œdid some nice thingsā€ as opposed to ā€œtore the game apartā€ or ā€œchanged the course of the gameā€.
  3. Little to no impact, we should also start looking for a replacement for Hibberd. Will be painful if Jones goes another season, and he will.
  4. What’s his set shot goal kicking like? When will a final decision on priority picks be announced? Cheers
  5. I think we are, I was talking to my mate yesterday and put forward the hypothetical that if we were to play the Suns either this week or next with a win putting us ahead of Carlton and finishing 16th. We both agreed we would find a way to lose. Sadly we know it, so do the players, yet on the flip side we’re offering players clearly past it new contracts. Madness....
  6. But they released such an emotional and powerful video during the pre season, they stood in a circle yelling ā€œour groundā€.
  7. Working on our skills, kicking and shots on goal in particular.
  8. Ok, I’m not across it to be honest. Would love another star to come in and play along side Gawn and Oliver.
  9. I always think back to the Salem/Tyson or J.Kelly. If these 2 kids are as good as people say we take one with our pick.
  10. Whether it’s Brown or someone else, we need a key fwd that can consistently take pack marks and kick goals. We also need 2 quality small fwds. I was unaware of Brown’s free agent status, so now knowing that obviously changes things. But seriously, does anyone honestly believe Petracca is in the top 5 fwds in the comp, or in the same league as Grey or DeGoey. How different some of the comments on Brown would be if he was already playing for the Dees.
  11. Ok course you’re out, because you can’t answer the question.
  12. Most definitely, was thinking something similar myself. Also means we keep our 2nd rd pick.
  13. I’m all for Brown but not at the expense of our first pick. When people want to criticise the team the same names are always thrown up ie ANB, OMac....etc etc. For a pick 2 with all of his physical attributes Petracca possesses, he has been a massive disappointment for me, and is yet to totally dominate a game from start to finish. I don’t believe this is a Goodwin issue, I just think he’s not that good. I would be all in for trading Petracca for an established player not another 1st rd pick.
  14. Petracca being ahead of AMT says a lot about this. Betts at 9, he got dropped last week. You’re still yet to answer my question.
  15. Drafts can be lottery’s, Petracca is supposedly a gun, a ready made player and only 23 years of age. GCS don’t need more picks they need experience. If Petracca is as good as people suggest surely he’s be the perfect fit?.
  16. If GCS were to get picks 1 & 2 would they give up pick 2 for a ā€œsupremely talented 23 year old who is rated as one of the best fwds in the compā€?
  17. One of the best fwds in the game....I can only assume you read that article on FB too, that was comical. Petracca is overrated far too much on here. He continually misses easy set shots on goal, this has been an issue his whole career. Please enlighten me to which games Petracca has been the difference in the last two years. Trade him now whilst someone might still give us something of worth or we can do a Jack Watts all over again in two years.
  18. Throw Petracca to the wind and see what comes of it. If Brown was gettable who would want Petracca.
  19. Omac before Frost. Petracca is a star. Carlton will beat Melbourne. What next people....
  20. I don’t see an issue. He’s clearly in our starting back six along with May and Lever.
  21. How much longer until Melksham is back?
  22. Tim Smith finds out on the full amusing....
  23. Favourable yes but we’ll most likely lose some of the Thursday/Friday night games we worked so hard to earn. Only ourselves to blame, the cycle continues....
  24. Oliver is our best young player (He’s younger and a star in the making). This situation is all too familiar for the club and it’s supporters. Watts : I was in the ā€œdon’t trade himā€ camp but quickly got over that. We played him too early, didn’t develop him, played him out of position, then it was the coach. Every new game/season was going to be the one when he reached his potential. We held him too long, got Fritsch who I don’t think we’ve seen the best of yet but had we moved earlier could of got more. Hogan : I was vocal early last season on trading him was happy when a deal was reached. I couldn’t buy into the whole ā€œhe’s kicked 40+ goals two years in a row, hes the best young fwd in the comp garbage ā€œ, because he couldn’t take a pack mark, struggled for accuracy when not directly in front and failed to dominate a top 8 side. We moved at exactly the right time and got May. Petracca : We’re still waiting for a break out game, still waiting for him to tear a game apart. Still waiting for any kind of real consistency. He’s done nothing as a fwd, give him the rest of the season playing on the ball. Based on his performance over the remaining games should determine whether he is traded or not. We can look to blame Goodwin, McCartney or any of the line coaches or acknowledge that we may have another high draft pick bust on our hands.
  25. Just want to throw this one out there.... What would we seriously get for Petracca? I’m not looking for picks but a player. I don’t see him as damaging and think his disposal is average at best. For someone his size his tackling is also questionable. I ask the question because I see his situation the same as Watts. Trade him now and get something decent in return or hold in anticipation and it becomes a gamble. When we went on a mini run late last year (Eagles/Giants/Cats/Hawks) I didn’t see him as the catalyst. Reading the post match discussion there are comments ranging from - His best game of the year - Did some good things. - A C- for his efforts today. - He’s being held back by the coach. Like Watts we are continually waiting for him to tear a game apart. I personally don’t think he has it in him, I’d like to be wrong. Now the season is over play him permanently on ball, he’s not a fwd. He had the perfect opportunity to take a couple of burst steps and nail a goal but instead hack it fwd supposedly under coaches instructions. Its all well and good to throw up mock scenarios of the type of player we need, but we do need to give someone up. Petracca is not a game changer.
