  1. Comical at best.
  2. Great question, I attended a workplace on Monday last week which later had 3 confirmed cases. I woke up Thursday morning to a lengthy text message from NSW health, I am currently in a 12 day isolation because the Tuesday and Wednesday are considered to be days 1 & 2, days 1 & 2 while I’m still at work and was at a shopping centre potentially spreading the virus. Received a call from NSW health, my family and workmates have to return 1 negative test and they are free to roam around as per normal. They weren’t interested in anywhere I had been because my first test was also negative. My work was proactive and notified other work places I had a attended and my fellow work mates. This is why it will be so hard to reach 0 cases, that and the refusal to close international borders.
  3. If the Eagles can’t beat the Crows with a place in the 8 on the line….
  4. Why can’t these teams like North and Hawthorn just die, what happened to the good old days of teams tanking and you could make easy money as a punter….
  5. In : Melksham Out : Viney
  6. Amazing what happens when we spot someone up.
  7. My theory is we suffer from blockbuster mentality. There’s such a focus on games against top sides (which we’ve won all of them this season) that when we play against lower placed sides we’re not switched on and just go through the motions.
  8. My biggest concern at the moment is that SportsBet is currently down.

Cats have a tough draw also. Not wanting to temp fate but if top spot or even top two was sewn up after rd 22 would the club entertain resting players before the finals?

Lions have a dream run home and should most likely win their last 5.

Would ideally love to have a top 2 spot locked away before we play Cats in rd 23.
  13. I think this game says more about Freo than it does Geelong.
  14. I tipped hawks last week for two reasons. Firstly their last month of footy (wins over Swans and GWS with narrow loss to the Bombers) and secondly the game was in Tassie. And to think they dismantled by Freo…. There’s no place for expansion in this competition.
  15. I went the same, thinking hopefully the upsets are behind us…. Libba rested by the dogs, are they temping fate? My Collingwood supporting mate thinks they will start tanking, I disagree.
  16. West Coast have been my bogey side this year with regards to my tipping.
  17. We all hate Geelong but Freo are a ordinary side. Couple of seasoned guns, a couple of young guns and a lot of mediocre players.
  18. Thanks, the NSW website there was an active case there on July 1st but person only tested positive yesterday. I was there on the 12th, when I spoke to contact tracers earlier they said they are now 3 confirmed cases from that site. I was contracting there, working alone outside but did briefly go into their office and use bathroom facilities.
  19. I woke up this morning to a lengthy text from NSW health stating that I had recently worked at site with at least 3 confirmed cases. My family all got Covid tests this morning, if they get a negative they are free to go back to normal but I must remain in isolation for 14 days regardless. Again the consistency…. This on the back of my comment yesterday about the Western Bulldogs.
  20. No I’m not but it’s stories like these along with the NRL player who is seeking an exemption to watch his wife give birth today and travel to the QLD in his personal car whilst most people can’t get interstate to see a terminally ill loved one that have people asking why are there so many contradictions with the rules.
  21. So the article I found read ā€œWestern bulldog official was in Highpoint during exposure periodā€. Didn’t specify which shop but I’m sure I heard on the radio at the time he was in the same shop. Then he interacts with the playing group, the playing then plays the Dees, the Dees then travel to Sydney and play the Lions in Sydney, all of this happens inside a two week period….
  22. This is going back a few weeks, the Western Bulldogs official that was at Highpoint, was he in the shop at the same time as the person that tested positive?
  23. Has something happened behind the scenes at the Eagles that will come to the surface in coming weeks….
  24. I think it was Justin Leppitsch on Thursday night that said words to the effect off ā€œAll teams will have a dip in form at some stage throughout a season, you can’t be up all the time.ā€ Difference between us and say the Dogs and Lions is that our losses could be put down to mental fatigue or similar. I think that definitely applies to the losses against the Crows and Pies, the loss to the Giants was a combination of fatigue and team selection. But when we’ve come to play our best has been better than that of all other teams currently inside the top 8 of which we have played six, we are yet to play the Eagles this season. Being able to put lower placed teams away by 10 plus goals only counts for so much if that same form can’t get you wins over fellow top 8 sides.
  25. I thought the 8 was sewn up weeks ago, lots of upsets to come, loving the footy at the moment just hard to get a multi up.
