Please donât say Brisbane is one of them.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
đŻ, their most recent test was last week and they failed miserably. Continuing to to beat up on weaker sides but crumble under real pressure, sounds a lot like Port.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Currently cap space would be tight not only this year but for the next 2 at least after that. But when the likes of Gawn, Brown, May, TMac etc finish up will have a lot of cap space free and Luke Jackson will only be 23 years old. Now at that point we will still have a lot of talent at the club but thereâs no reason we canât offer Jackson a very lucrative long term deal.

AFLW GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Adelaide
For those of us who missed it, when did young become one in the national anthem?

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
2nd best based on what? The three teams theyâve beaten this year have so far have zero wins combined.

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Frustrating part is a lot of the bad calls made so far this year, the umpires have been in a position to see what has happened and still made the wrong call. Also would love some consistency on players getting caught with the ball then just dropping it cold.

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Itâs hard to be up every week and as good as we are we still have 4 key players out, 5 if you count Hibberd. Had we kicked straight early the game would of been put to bed at qtr time. Weâre no longer the team we used to be, weâve just done enough the last two weeks but we will/should rise to the occasion tonight and put Port away.

GAMEDAY: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
As he should be, he stood up in our three finals last year when needed.

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Canât remember which qtr but TMac was having a set shot city end, close to the boundary around the 50 metre arc. Oliver was standing by himself for calling for the ball. TMac ignored him, went back had the shot and missed. Iâm all for forwards backing themselves in but Oliver was directly in front probably 35-40 metres out. What happened to team first?

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Canât kick goals if youâre not putting yourself in the right places.

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
I do value offensive contributions. I never mentioned him getting dropped. Was never talking about Spargo. The reason we didnât win by 80 was because our set shots on goal were poor at best for the first half.

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
I saw that, was impressed with that passage of play. But he does go missing in games, the throw away line of âpressure actsâ or ânot understanding his/someoneâs roleâ gets used a lot here and is currently worn out. Iâm not suggesting he gets dropped but like a few of our players at the moment, theyâre just travelling. No reason for concern, itâs a long season and theyâll all fire when required.

Farewell Luke Jackson
It seems improbable the either party would want a long-term deal. Luke because he would want to keep his options open and the Club due to salary cap pressures. Itâs a delicate balance. After another 2 years there may be further room for movement, maybe not. Itâs would be terrible to lose Luke as it would be to lose any of our stars when their contracts expire. The thought of Oliver or Petracca in opposition jumpers would be real heart sink stuff. However, the Hawks lost Buddy and were able to maintain their list and reap further premiership rewards. How the Club manages all these complexities will be crucial to longer term success and the health of our playing group. If you look at the contracts thread I think itâs a safe bet that the club is looking further ahead than just the next two years. Other factors worth considering are - Players that have already had their âpayday contractsâ. - Players such as TMac, Gawn and I think Lever who have recently extended their contracts and you would assume have extended for less after already cleaning up. - Players such as Hibberd and Melksham who are most likely in their last season. - Young players such as Rivers, Kozi, Petty and Bowey who are all premiership players and bloody good players in their own right but will have to bide their time for their paydays.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
I think they were broken before that, last season before they beat the Bulldogs in rd 23 they hadnât beaten a top 8 side. Iâm of the belief that both coaches have lost their players. I donât want to sound arrogant but the only team that stands between us going back to back is the Swans.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
If Port and GWS are serious their coaches should be sacked by tomorrow evening. Hinkley is in his tenth season as coach and Cameron in his ninth. Their teams respective efforts over the weekend when taking into consideration their exit from last years season as well as their opponents speaks volumes.

And that is why the Saints are where they are, ordinary list management.

TEAMS: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Was listening to a replay of 3AW Sportday whilst driving home from work tonight. (Iâve been up since 2am for work so I want to re listen to the podcast, Iâm bloody tired)Leigh Mathewâs was talking about the Bulldogs and went on to say things like âThey fell into the 8â which isnât quite true they finished 5th but they dropped a lot of easy games late in the season. Yes all teams dropped winnable games but it was the timing of their losing streak. âWhilst they are very strong in some positions the have some gaping holes in their listâ. I assume the holes he refers too is their defenders and their forwards. He also went on to question Tim Englishâs ability to dominate the ruck. He said âwhilst he can take a mark around the ground he has doubts about his ruck craftâ and âStef Martin is a battler that provides a contestâ.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I was looking at the list contacts thread and I think weâre doing both. After this year with the likely departures of Melksham and Hibberd we should be pretty well sorted.
