  1. Because every now and again you get someone like Ross Lyon who sticks it up the AFL about things everyone is thinking but most of us don’t have the platform and those that do are too scared.
  2. Appreciate that but stats can be misleading. Where’s Melksham currently rated over the last 5 weeks?
  3. He’s slow and whilst a good user of the footy he’s not a big kick.
  4. Carlton about to get pumped.
  5. Article on Instagram during the week of the leagues 15 highest paid players this year. 1 Lynch 1.4 million 2 Ben McKay1.3 million 3 Trac 1.2 million 4 Naughton 1.2 million 5 Bolton 1.1 million 6 T Kelly 1.1 million 7 Bont 1.1 million 8 Oliver 1 million 9 Moore 1 Million 10 Cripps 1 million 11 Heeney 1 million 12 Butters 1 million 13 Rozee 1 million 14 Ben King 1 million 15 Grundy 1 million Compare that to what currently is and will most like be the final 8 (Freo are overrated) 1 Pies Moore 2 Lions None 3 Crows None 4 Geelong None 5 Hawks None 6 Dogs Bont and Naughton 7 Suns King 8 GWS None We’ve just signed Kosi to 1.1 - 1.2 a year, fair to say one or both of Oliver and Trac have to go, it’s unsustainable to have all 3. Like many others I’d be happy to let Oliver go and a fresh start could be best for both parties. Lions last year premiers have none as do Geelong and the Giants. I understand things change and I was excited as everyone else was when we locked them both away long term but this list for me speaks volumes.
  6. Lions for % Pies because suns are overrated Dogs with Magpie like pressure GWS Tigers Freo at home Dees Swans Port
  7. Petty or TMac down back. Turner coming out of the goalsquare with Melksham and Chin buzzing anround, open the fwd line right up, manic footy for parts of the game.
  8. 3 weeks ago I had a $5 bet on when North beat Carlton, Swans beat Port and Brisbane beat Geelong, it paid $415.68. I actually had 8 x $5 bets on and I took those 3 games each way and the rest one out. If you’re confident on North try something similar.
  9. Do I think Goodwin needs to go? Yes Do I think in the past senior players (from our club and others) have gotten together before a game and decided on effort levels when faced with situations like we are now? Yes Do I buy into the new gameplan excuse? No, as I mentioned after the suns game consisting of our worst 1st qtr followed by effort. I think there’s enough talent player for player to beat the Roos regardless of game style in addition Larkey looks like missing the game along with Darling, Parker and Wardlaw. Potentially others I’m missing. I would like to think if nothing else we try and win as many games as possible as That’s why we play footy. Let’s try and give the Bombers as high a pick as possible. Culture Play the kids and for periods in games let’s try some face paced run n gun footy into an open fwd line and let’s see what happens. We can’t be accused of tanking. At times when we’ve moved the ball quickly we’ve looked dangerous but still a lot to work on. And last of all for betting purposes.
  10. Larkey is set to miss, surely we roll the Roos? If we don’t the players are sending a clear message, although regardless of the outcome I think the message has already been sent.
  11. Apparently being taught a lesson.
  12. On at least two occasions yesterday we had the ball 25 - 30 metres out from our defensive goal line and ten - 15 metres in from the boundary line , May I think had it both times and Langdon ran deeper into the pocket behind May calling for the ball, he was ignored both times. This may seem like an odd observation but how is this any part of a move the ball quickly game plan.
  13. Put Petty back to CHB and Disco up fwd. Petty is only 26 in November, plenty of good footy left in him. May showed again yesterday he’s still got it.
  14. Just read the AFLW is losing 50 million per year, clearly expanded too quickly. I’ve been saying for a while the AFL can’t handle more teams, as established club must make way for Tasmania, now a wild card weekend. There’s a pattern emerging, they’re slowly killing the game.
  15. I’m the last person to talk stats but there was something on socials that he was leading or in the top couple for every stat for defenders in the competition before being dropped.
  16. You don’t don’t want to be playing finals on the back of beating teams predominantly outside the 8.
  17. Agree, been calling for Turner to play fwd for a while now. Leave Petty in defence.
  18. Coulda Shoulda Woulda
  19. [censored] me Fritsch.
  20. Nibbler has dropped it cold twice now and nothing.
  21. Play Turner up fwd.
  22. The kid will be a star, was hoping we drafted him but not to be. Very happy with XL.
  23. Ignore everything I just said.
  24. Rd 10 port 39 v cats 115 Rd 11 Freo 100 v port 51 Rd 12 bye Rd 13 GWS v Port 66 (massive upset) Rd 14 port 93 v demons 68 Rd 15 port 52 v swans 71 Rd 16 port 110 v Carlton 60 Last 7 weeks losses to Geelong, Freo and Sydney, a bye and wins over Carlton / Melbourne / GWS. I need Lions in all of my multis. Saints agree are a chance as are Freo who are a massive chance. Beaten Sydney the last two times they’ve met at the SCG.
  25. Reading all these comments does anyone actually think this competition can sustain a 19th and 20th team? If Tassie is to get a team a Melbourne based team must fold. Say what you want about the two most recent expansion clubs but they’re here to stay. Two teams in WA & SA works, two teams in QLD & NSW doesn’t really work but it was done with growth in mind. I’m all for one in Tassie but one must go. For me it’s North, yes sone people will be upset but I’d rather that than the total demise of the competition. For the remaining seven rounds how many times does anyone thing a team currently placed in the bottom 9 will beat a team in the top 9. I’m fully aware that Tigers had a dream run and are currently back down the bottom and Sydney played played off in last yearsGF and this is how the system is meant to work. But this time it feels different. Whilst I don’t think Sydney and Melbourne are as bad as were currently placed teams like North and bound to be down for a while.
