  1. Come [censored] get some!
  2. So in theory Richmond can now make their next selection in under 10 seconds.
  3. The boards have been pretty quiet today considering this is our grand final.
  4. I understand the need for player versatility as we look to change the way we play. Last year we started to show we can move the ball quickly (not often enough) but again on many occasions we fumbled at the last kick inside our fwd 50. For years we have struggled with kicking to a forward, forwards knowing when and where to lead, forwards getting separation from each other, a key target, small forwards being at the drop of the ball & locking the ball inside our forward 50. Weโ€™re trying to address these issues with a new coach / game plan and already we have some personnel changes but we need more. Ideally we could use one or both the picks we got for Trac on gun mids but as we know theyโ€™ll be gone by the time our picks arrive. I think we should draft Nairn and Pickett and focus on mids next year. Get it done Dees.
  5. We have some ageing forwards in Miohcheck 32, Melksham 34, Fritsch 28 then we have Chandler 26 and JVR 22. Nairn & Pickett would help us in how we want to play in our fwd half. The Lions have Rayner, Lohman, Cameron and Bailey and it works well for them.
  6. Iโ€™d take that Old, we may have to wait until next year for Tracโ€™s replacement.
  7. Well pick the best available player (pick 7) within that though thereโ€™s areas of the ground we feel we need to enhance and continually look at to improve and there will be a focus around that for us without going into great detail (pick 8?). When asked about our need for a small fwd, weโ€™re not going to go early on a positional type but if we feel that theyโ€™re in that range weโ€™ll look pretty strongly at that. Sounds like heโ€™s left open to interpretation.
  8. He had a bet each way. Keep them guessing.
  9. I need to rewatch the Nairn highlights, for some reason think that struggled to kick any great distance.
  10. So weโ€™ll see Voss get sacked in prime time?
  11. Cut the whinging at least weโ€™re not playing the Lions, Geelong and Collingwood (a team that weโ€™ve been mentally beaten by before the game even starts for years). I think itโ€™s a favourable draw in terms off who we play. Iโ€™m calling it now that weโ€™ll be playing in wildcard weekend this year.
  12. 2026 will be my 22nd consecutive year as a Redleg and my wifeโ€™s 5th. We will remain on auto renewal until we pass into a parallel universe where we have Hawthorn/Geelong/Brisbane type success.
  13. Not a fan of members who hold off purchasing a membership based on performance (assuming they can afford it). A new coach is exactly the time we need to be showing our support!
  14. I get what youโ€™re saying Macca but in the course of all of these changes we are cheapening / diluting our product so in the short term there may be dollars on the horizon but I believe weโ€™re doing long term damage to the game. Expanding the competition to 19 & 20 teams also means more revenue but for how long, the cycle of certain teams stuck on the bottom continues. If they want to Americanise the competition Iโ€™m all for players being traded without their permission but we all know how that will go.
  15. League is a game designed for tv in terms of the way they line up. Iโ€™ve got some mates in Sydney who have followed league their whole lives and now find the game boring. I lived in Cronulla for a number of years and the Sharks would be playing live in front of a half full stadium while so called fans less than five minutes away watch from the pub. League is a boring game and its fans know it. We need to stop cheapening our product, stop jumping at shadows, we have a unique game, the greatest game, for the majority of AFL supporters there is no free hit, when thereโ€™s no game on we do something called life. Wildcard weekend is cheapening the home and away season. 19 teams is diluting the talent pool even further. I asked this a while back and got no response, howโ€™s the AFLW going right now? So many teams so far off even being remotely competitive. The powers that be must be stopped. On social media Iโ€™m struggling to find anyone in support of it, on here thereโ€™s a handful of posters.
  16. Macca itโ€™s more than that. The constant rule changes, the inconsistent umpiring and tribunal decisions and the expansion of the league. Iโ€™m sure youโ€™ve read my thoughts, more than happy for Tassie to have a team but it must come at the expense of a Melbourne based club.
  17. AFLW expanded too quickly and a lot of it is unwatchable now weโ€™ve got a final 10 and before long weโ€™ll have 20 teams and the quality of the menโ€™s competition will suffer.
  18. The game is being destroyed right before our eyes. 3 - 4 teams are largely uncompetitive each year now weโ€™ve got a final 10. Better off putting the week off between the preliminary final and GF to give players that may be injured or were knocked out the chance to play.
  19. I donโ€™t subscribe to the free hit, I understand some people follow both codes but the majority are either rusted on to one or the other. If thereโ€™s no AFL Iโ€™m not watching flicking over to watch the NRL.
  20. As others have already alluded to I think we might be throwing out a few red herrings.
  21. Great call E.T, I chose Orange Sky. I donโ€™t think theyโ€™re over there in WA but they are in here in Sydney and Brisbane. They have a number of vans which are equipped with washing machines / dryers and some have showers providing a free service for those experiencing homelessness.
  22. If nothing else weโ€™ll finish above North, Eagles, Tigers, Bombers and Carlton.
