  1. If Tauru is there at 5 we should take him, then a mid at 9, if he’s gone we take 2 mids. No to Armstrong.
  2. It’s a ploy to make Saints take him and we get The Viking. Langford & The Viking.
  3. Tauru 193cm JUH 197 cm Wateman 191cm Cameron 196cm Hogan 195cm Curnow 194cm His disposal looks alright from the limited vision available & doesn’t have a ridiculous set shot approach.
  4. Not all his marks are intercepts, can take a big pack mark. Will be a gun would to grab him at 5, can’t see him being there at 9.
  5. It comes down to - Do we think we’ll bounce back next season or are we planning our next assault. I personally think we can and are doing both at the same time. - Petracca 5 years left & Oliver 6, compared to May 2 & Lever 4. - Mids are available every year. - Do we think The Viking is a future star of the game. - Trading for tall later will cost us more than pick 5.
  6. We all need to move on, bring on draft night then rd 1.
  7. This plus we need separation from our fwds and our smalls to learn what it is to play as a small fwd. Kosi can have a game where he kicks 3 goals in a qtr then will go missing for 5 weeks or take unrealistic marking attempts leaving the opposition to run the ball straight back out.
  8. Do you know who our KPD as Casey?
  9. As deep as this draft might be the perceived top talent always goes first. 5 : Langford 9 : Tauru
  10. My pies mate next year they have Mick Maguane’s son as a father / son.
  11. Way to flatten the mood and this morning’s news.
  12. Makes you wonder were we ever really interested in 13. A convenient distraction….
  13. Who are tigers taking at 1 do you think?
  14. Agree Macca but problem is trying to trade for one can be even harder. These days every player seems to have an asking price 2 first rd picks.
  15. Exactly, Petty can go down back where he plays his best footy. We need another quality tall fwd.
  16. And here I was thinking I was the only one working today….great work Dees!
  17. I’d also love this kid. Mids are available every year. @DeeSpencer thinks he may be gone by then and it’s easy to see why. Was listening to Jade Rawlings on trade radio during the week and he was asked the question regarding pick 2. Do you take a tall or go best available. He responded by saying if we were to take a tall with our first pick we would look to trade trade pick 2 for 2 later picks in the first rd, but if we use pick 2 it would be based on best available, time will tell.
  18. How is this thread still going…. Trade talk is a recognised addiction.
  19. I just watched a highlights package for each of those 8 players (and that’s about all I’ll see of them). For me Sid Draper stood out for his clearance work and kicking. Tauru has so much potential. Langford and Smillie also looked good.
  20. I live in Sydney, work long hours and have less exposure / knowledge on the draft than anyone. I just watched some of his highlights last night, I’d take him pick 5 in a heartbeat. I’ve watched some of the highlights of the fancied top midfielders that may be available at our pick and don’t share the love. If it was between Tauru and the second coming of Harley Reid yes I get it, but mids are available every year. We could potentially still grab a decent mid if we’re able to grab another pick inside the first rd.
  21. Rebuilding no, natural list progression, bring in 2-3 kids through the draft every year.
  22. For those who follow this closely what your thoughts on Harry Armstrong? Would he be worth pick 13 if we got our hands on it? Thanks
  23. What a couple of weeks, we’re paying $24 for the premiership in 2025 (11th favourite).
  24. Not across everything & not wanting to lose Oliver, but if this does eventuate why we only looking at a future 1st and not this years? I assume because this years first goes for Bailey Smith. Surely Oliver would warrant our choice of this years or next.
  25. Do we honestly care as much as we used to? From tribunal inconsistency to umpire favouritism I think the medal is viewed differently of late.
