Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
No one in the media saw this coming today, they a were all pedalling the same story, no one in a position to make the hard call. Yet now they all know who are our preferred options to replace Goodwin, hopefully it’s another case of why we distract you over here we’re doing something over there and our new coach surprises all. Someone across the the current style of game would be ideal.

Simon Goodwin respect thread.
When Goody had Gawn on his shoulders & vise versa at the grand final after party, now there’s a memory.

Waiting till the end of the season was fraught with danger. I’m proud of my club, clearly his potential payout was considered but so was a player and fan exodus. The club can breathe again and suddenly footy seems fun again. There will be a shoot out at the G this weekend.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
You’re joking surely.

Having the uncertainty surrounding Goodwin is / was not good for player retention. Thanks for 2021 Goody, you will forever be remembered for that! Proud the club had what it takes to make the right / tough call, many didn’t see this coming, we move fwd now. Back to playing finals in 2026.

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
1 of 2 ways, 1st : (the simplist way) just simply place your 1st bet, go to the list of betting options for the game and go to “Big win little win” and select the opposition to win by 40 +. At the moment Dogs are paying $1.32 head to head, so for 40+ you might get $1.65. Let’s say you bet $100 you would get $165 back. Wait till the end of the round and repeat the process on the next game this time though your betting $165. Same principal as a standard multi but it’s done over separate weeks. 2nd : contact Sportsbet direct and ask them to frame a market for Dees to lose next 3 game by 40+ and they will give you odds for your bet. Out of interest two years ago I did something similar but asked for odds of North going winless for the season for a novelty bet. I think they gave me odds of $7 for my $100 bet. I would of gotten better value placing my initial bet and keep rolling it over myself.

Just keep rolling it over.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Very interested to see what plays out with Oliver, he self destructed.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Let’s start by playing Pertty back in defence and Turner seems to be doing ok. Bowey and Rivers also played in the premiership.

The Brody Mihocek Thread
My mate who is a Pies supporter is of the opinion he’s currently on 400k per season.

Normally no but in the case of Oliver he self destructed so he should at least be considering it.

From anger to action: A call for constructive feedback to leadership
Has this happened with any other sporting club / code in the world? Look at the AFL they clearly don’t listen to the fans, a lot of people thought the appointment of Greg Sawn was what the game needed to get the game back to what it was, he was in the chair for all of five minutes and has already floated a finals system consisting of ten teams.
-
The Brody Mihocek Thread
He’s 32 so a two year deal yes. Any idea what’s he’s currently getting paid?
-
PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Alarming similarities to the AFL, in addition to that a potential ten team finals system.

No one go to this weeks game, that will send a message.

PREGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Won’t be watching and don’t care about the result, the Dees could win by 100 but it will mean nothing, the damage has already been done. Heading O/S next Friday for a few weeks and will miss the remainder of the H & A season. We actually booked our holiday at the start of the year to be back in time for the last two weeks of the finals because we foolishly thought with our easy draw we were a real chance to be playing finals and if things went our way with our new gameplan….How wrong we were.

I’ve said this before on here, that listening to her when she was on channel 7 she was quite informative where as Nathan Jones added nothing.

Would not be fussed losing both Lever and Oliver at this point. I know people have been justified with their criticism of Fritsch for the bulk of the season but we’ve seen recently how damaging he can be. I think it would be very foolish to let him go, I think with a new coach and relevant gameplan he will be back at his best. Another player I raised earlier was Buku Khamas from the Dogs, currently just outside their best 22, he’s 191cm, fast, can take a grab and reasonable set shot. Would cost bugger all to get him and honestly what are our other options. I’d like to see him up fwd with Fritsch and Melksham, very dangerous trio if the delivery is right to an open fwd line. Trac and Viney are keeps for me, we can’t get rid of everyone, it will set us back too far and we don’t have to.- Trade Targets
I know May is getting on but he’s quite versatile over his career, hopefully he can play for another two seasons. I’ve wanted to give Turner more time fwd but if he is to stay in defence we are quite strong there and are set for a while with Turner turning 25 next year & Petty 26. May on the other hand is 34 next year.- Time to go Goody?
What good does waiting until seasons end do? If I’m an undecided player I’d like to know now. - Trade Targets
