  1. McKercher would be, but will he want to leave? In 3-4 years the Roos should up and about playing finals.
  2. I’ve just read they’ll get similar picks to that of GCS & GWS but have to trade them for established players. Why would you? In all seriousness they might nab 1 maybe 2 established guns of the game on excessively massive contracts plus the reported sign on bonus, but look at what North has put together in just 2 drafts, Sheezel, Wardlaw, McKercher & Dursma. Would you rather those 4 kids in 4-5 years or what you traded for from other clubs.
  3. I can’t understand how more people don’t see this is an issue. I believe the best thing to do is fold a current Victorian club, yes that’s an unpopular view and won’t happen. 18 clubs works, the AFL won’t stop at 19 they’ll have to make it 20. But don’t panic anyone just think how much more they’ll make at the next broadcast deal. We are not America, they have a population of 340 million we’re hovering around 25 million. Yes Tasmania deserve a team but it must come at the expense of an existing club.
  4. So are they getting two years of compromised drafts? Where do we see our list during those 2 years being 2026 & 2027?
  5. Pies Crows North Dees Swans Suns Port Giants
  6. Viney with another great goal.
  7. Every team has injuries, no excuses Lions.
  8. Didn’t realise Neale isn’t playing.
  9. Early days but a potential 0 & 2 for the Lions including losses at homes is massive.
  10. Anyone watch the Lions last week and have been watching tonight? Whsts happening with them? Thanks
  11. That’s funny, I went to edit my post and say exactly that but then, well truth be known the add break was finishing and I had to get of the toilet….😆😆
  12. At the end of the day this for a team of our experience is a routine win, let’s enjoy it and move on. Any real judgement of players / gameplan should come against other top 6 aspirants, Collingwood, Carlton, Brisbane, GWS, Sydney & Port. On that ladder we are currently 0 & 1.
  13. What pleased me most about the win was the way we played / tried to play. Although not perfect at times ie wrong option, poor disposal, too slow moving the ball, we played a game style that can take us deep into September. Not a fan of JVR in the ruck, rucking inside fwd 50 is one thing but not lining up at centre bounces. Vintage BBB & TMac, Chandler firing again, Oliver getting ready to explode. Thought we had our smalls in better positions today at times but little things like Kosi flying for a mark then no one at ground level when the ball spills. Not getting carried away, good win but a few things to work on.
  14. Well his contested marking is better than Franklins but his set shots let him down. Regardless of what anyone thinks if he leaves the kennel he’s poised to sign the biggest contract in the history of the game.
  15. His new contract is likely to surpass that of Franklins, needs to justify it.
  16. 2 easy misses this qtr, what’s he worth?
  17. Picket flying for a mark when he should be staying down for the crumb.
  18. Our tackling has been good.
  19. Chandlers homework : Watch Swans v Pies & Giants v North to understand how important a quick inside kick inside 50 is.
  20. If that umpire can’t see that the ball was touched he should be put out to pasture.
  21. Get JVR out of the bloody ruck. [censored] me.
  22. We’re in trouble this year.
  23. Another mark inside fwd 50 from a low direct kick. Plus their fwds create space to lead into.
