Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
As deep as this draft might be the perceived top talent always goes first. 5 : Langford 9 : Tauru

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Makes you wonder were we ever really interested in 13. A convenient distraction….

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Agree Macca but problem is trying to trade for one can be even harder. These days every player seems to have an asking price 2 first rd picks.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Exactly, Petty can go down back where he plays his best footy. We need another quality tall fwd.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
And here I was thinking I was the only one working today….great work Dees!

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
I’d also love this kid. Mids are available every year. @DeeSpencer thinks he may be gone by then and it’s easy to see why. Was listening to Jade Rawlings on trade radio during the week and he was asked the question regarding pick 2. Do you take a tall or go best available. He responded by saying if we were to take a tall with our first pick we would look to trade trade pick 2 for 2 later picks in the first rd, but if we use pick 2 it would be based on best available, time will tell.

How is this thread still going…. Trade talk is a recognised addiction.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
I live in Sydney, work long hours and have less exposure / knowledge on the draft than anyone. I just watched some of his highlights last night, I’d take him pick 5 in a heartbeat. I’ve watched some of the highlights of the fancied top midfielders that may be available at our pick and don’t share the love. If it was between Tauru and the second coming of Harley Reid yes I get it, but mids are available every year. We could potentially still grab a decent mid if we’re able to grab another pick inside the first rd.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
For those who follow this closely what your thoughts on Harry Armstrong? Would he be worth pick 13 if we got our hands on it? Thanks

Oliver Trade Rumours
What a couple of weeks, we’re paying $24 for the premiership in 2025 (11th favourite).

Oliver Trade Rumours
Not across everything & not wanting to lose Oliver, but if this does eventuate why we only looking at a future 1st and not this years? I assume because this years first goes for Bailey Smith. Surely Oliver would warrant our choice of this years or next.

2024 Brownlow Medal
Do we honestly care as much as we used to? From tribunal inconsistency to umpire favouritism I think the medal is viewed differently of late.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Ok we’re getting off track here. I would like a fwd that can mark on the edge of 50, turn, take one step and load up. Walker and Franklin have done that repeatedly, Hogan cant. As for Franklin being the best fwd of the last 25 years, on goals kicked yes he is but I’d personally take Jono Brown in his prime.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Thanks, however I don’t agree with Hogan. I don’t think he’s ever been able / confident over 40 metres. I’d love a fwd like Tex or Franklin than can regularly slot them from outside 50.

2024 Phantom Drafts
All I know about any potential draftees is from what I read on here plus on the AFL website. How good are these mids? When did we last have a key fwd that could take a contested mark and kick them from outside 50? Neitz?

Time to go Goody?
It’s about balance. We’ve struggled to score for 3 years. An understanding of when to move it quickly is lacking, also our fwd line is so congested and our smalls are often not in the positions.

Pick 25 for McAdam
We’ve had a pretty strong side for years, players like Harmes & Jordan couldn’t get a game. We need to remember there are 18 teams, some players drafted here knew from the outset they weren’t going to be starting 22. Who did we miss out on? Additionally if a kids been good enough they’ve played as we’ve seen with McVee. There’s only so much talent in the competition, this is why a 19th & 20th team will not work.

Christian Petracca
Fair call, I’m tired….didn’t consider that.

As for a trade not being able to get done. I don’t think that was the case. Jeremy Cameron went to Geelong for picks 15, 18 & 25. Dangerfield went to Geelong for picks 9, 28 & Dean Gore. If Trac still wanted to be traded I think a deal would of gotten done, we wouldn’t of liked it but it would of got done.
