  1. Great summary, wish you wrote some more as I am not ready to sleep yet. In reference to Kent I thought he got more involved as the game went on but in regards to his tackling after watching the replay I'm not sure he actually knows how to tackle.
  2. I was proud of the boys after the Richmond loss for their effort that night, it's now 3 hours since the game finished and I still can't find the words to describe what I'm feeling.
  3. Foxtel commentators have no idea, the caller just called our coach Goodin.
  4. Let's suggest CP, Watts, Jeffy and Hannan score around the 14 goals they scored against the Dons how are we then able to restrict the Crows to less? Can't afford to give one of their forwards six shots on goal like we allowed Joe Daniher in the first half of that game. Hogan has the ability to roam back and at least block space and tonight with our 3 tall backs all having a man to go to we don't have the luxury of a tall floater in defensive 50. Does anyone think we could use Weed as the man dropping back at times to at least make the Crows think a little about their forward entries? Maybe it's time to give the kid some responsibility.
  5. Tomorrow night was always going to be difficult but I was hoping the effort would be there all day. I still think the boys will give it their all but what little air I had left has just been sucked out of me with Hogan missing. Can someone please make me feel better?
  6. Valid point Abe, I didn't want to make it a case of Harmes vs Trengove debate because each player has a different skillset they bring to the team. In my opinion I'd rather see games added to our bunch of players around the 20 game mark. Unfortunately I can't see Trengove being the short or long term solution not to any fault of his own though.
  7. I have liked Trengove from the day we drafted him but unfortunately I believe his best is in the past. What could he bring to the team that Harmes can't? If Harmes is fit surely he gets a game before Trengove this week. He's faster, stronger and can take a mark for his size. Harmes, Kent and Stretch need to play in games like these for the sake of their so called "development".
  8. In : Adelaide oval. Out: MCG. Our record is ok over there, that's what I'm hanging my hat on this week.
  9. Outbodied yes, absolutely! Lets play JKH and Bugg whilst Harmes who's one of our stronger bodies runs around at Casey.
  10. We might need 3 tall backs if they bring Vickery in.
  11. I would include Harmes before Ben Ken or Trengove, I like the way he goes about it. From all reports, Harmes didn't set the world on fire for Casey on the weekend but do you blame him after busting his guts Monday night against Richmond and then having to back it up on a four day break?
  12. Lol, do it now as we have come in and the bombers have drifted in betting.
  13. Misson stated on the MFC app he looks ok at the moment and will have a fitness test tomorrow or Saturday.
  14. It is a big sacrifice, the club said they would get inventive this week so I just wanted to put it out there.
  15. T. Mac going forward would be a serious option now, surely. Didn't he nearly win us the game against this mob a couple of seasons ago when moved there? At least he can match it with Hurley for strength since we have no one with considerable size left to go forward. If Daniher is going to have a day out it won't matter who's down back for us.
  16. Does anyone know anything about Filipovic? I read he played in Casey 2's a couple of weeks ago and was ok. How do the fitness levels of him and king compare?
  17. Never have I been prouder to support the MFC than last night. Their effort was unbelievable. Richmond knew of our situation with the men down by constantly forcing the play to the southern stand side for majority of the last quarter hence limiting what was left of our rotations even more. I watched Watts pace the boundary for 5 minutes trying to get on. Hunt's 100 metre sprint to provide support/block for Harmes on that run was amazing. It didn't get us the 4 points but it gives me belief of where this club is heading. Not even a quarter of the way into the season and we have used almost 3 quarters of our list through rotten luck and sheer stupidity. I will never give up on this club and I'm certain the players won't either, there's plenty left to salvage.
  18. Let's hope not, maybe it's good player management by our selectors. Casey played last Monday so surely we couldn't play some of our listed players on a 4 day break. Makes more sense to play Hibberd and JKH after a full weeks break rather than a real short one.
  19. Agree 100%, a guy with genuine leg speed and a kick that breaks the press. I went to Williamstown and watched Casey and I'd have to say JKH looks a little lost at sea sometimes. Hibberd I can understand but it doesn't make sense to drop Kent and play two guys that have played 3 JLT and 1 Casey game so far.
  20. I tried playing around on ticketek to try and upgrade to a reserved seat for the kids and myself as most of the seating is exhausted and it gave me an option to enter our membership barcodes under club members and all they could allocate me was M3. I'm pretty sure that's the Richmond area for the game. Won't be sitting there!
  21. I wanted to ask the same question, according to a google search it's $10 for adults and $5 for visiting VFL club members.
  22. I am cut up like most on here but we lost the game in that woeful third quarter. It's as simple as that for me.
  23. I was at the Bridge Rd venue on Saturday night after a birthday party and the discount would have helped a great deal on that night, absolutely loved the venue and will be definitely going back. The only downside albeit a minor one was the closing time of 1am just when everyone was having a good night. Each booth had a TV screen with many options of sport viewing.
