  1. They train harder than ever and never give their bodys proper time to rest. More training = higher demand on the body = more injuries. It's no surprise that sides are looking into drugs to help players recover quicker.
  2. I don't think there would be many better crumbing forwards around than the Davey brothers. We just have the out of form one. But he might come good, he's a smart footballer and hasn't been played as a crumber the past few years. He is an optimist around the goals.
  3. She's not very switched on and should know better than to take on Eddie. Only Sheedy and Vlad have the know how to take on Ed. Anyone else gets steamrolled over. Caro needs to hang em up, she's done.
  4. I'd say this about Neeld, not McLardy. McLardy doesn't handle and coach the players, he is the president. It's worrying that Neeld says he didn't know about this, because he should've known, he definintely should've known. And.. If he did know, then he is lying by telling us otherwise. It's obvious that Neil Craig knew, so Neeld would've known.
  5. Yeah considering the anti-obesity drug is a banned substance, then I dare say you are right, it's not what Melbourne or Essendon needed to hear.
  6. We are inexperienced every year it seems. But, no excuses this year, we have had the picks, the coaches brought in players he wanted. So it's onwards and upwards and if we finish anywhere near the bottom it's catcha later.
  7. Because unlike Toumpas, both Stringer and Macrae shown something yesterday. They were two shining lights in an otherwise ordinary day for them.
  8. Play Watts up forward this week. No Clark or Dawes, it's the perfect time to throw him forward.
  9. I think in the future the AFL will follow the line of professional boxing and introduce random blood and urine tests. Which is olympic style testing. This would make it much hard for cheats to beat the system.
  10. For most the game, it was a sloppy display of football, thankfully our last quarter was the best football we have played in a long long time. But the gap between our best and worst on a performance level is worrying. How a team can go from very bad to very good. I'd like to see the AFL talk Paul Roos into coaching us so we can see more good performances on a regular basis.
  11. The heart beats true, that tends to be the way this forum is, too many know alls. Just express your opinion anyway, to hell with them. I agree with you anyway, the board is a joke.
  12. We played GWS and were outplayed for close to 3 quarters. That is a hell of a game plan.
  13. Just another case where the umpire wanted to assert his importance in the game. It was clearly play on and the GWS lad was stiff.
  14. He attacked the football. I wouldn't read too much into stats, Jack Watts can have 10 to Michael Hurleys 2. Yet Hurley has far more of an effect on the game. Same reason why Tappy had a good game, he aggression in contests is just what we need. Tappy wanted to be out there today and I haven't seen that previously. He'll improve this year and he'll be a very servicable player for us in the long term.
  15. When you are picked at number 2 and have shown you can play, then taper off for a couple of years, you'll get critisized. I wouldn't read too much into fans bagging Trengove, in my opinion it is more out of frustration because they know he is better than he shows us. Same reason everyone is so frustrated with Jack Watts at the moment, because he has all the tools and has shown good games, but for the most of it he is insipid... Being a high draft pick will never help if you don't deliver, that is the reality of it.
  16. Yep and it's on all of them. In a way I don't mind this scandal, because it's going to give the AFL a reason to clean our rabble of a board out. I hope the AFL cleans out everyone from McLardy to Neeld. In Neelds interview before the game, he says that he was unaware that Don Bates was in contact with Dank. If that is the case, then why wasn't he aware? Craig would've been, Neeld would've as well, so he is most likely lying right there. As a club, we need to start fresh with an ethical board, then a good culture will flow - from the top down.
  17. Our half against West Coast and our quarter against GWS, suggests we are better than Mark Neeld makes us out to be. He makes our we are a young, inconsistant team who will take year to rebuild. I agree we are inconsisant - but that isn't because of our youth and we don't need a massive rebuild. Neeld just says this to take the heat of his inability to get the best out of our players. We were insipid for 3 quarters today and the side that played the last quarter, isn't a side that suggests we need a rebuild. We need a new coach that can get the best out of the lads for 4 quarters, we don't need a rebuild. Instead, the club could use a coach who develops the talent that it has.
  18. I disagree, the fact they are supporters suggest otherwise - because we are always down.
  19. It's an improvement from JT. No great game by any measure, considering he probably had half his touches in the first quarter. He went missing with the rest of our side for too long. Considering Trengove is coming from a long way back, he was servicable today.
  20. Good goal by Howe... How annoying is Hudo as a commentator.
  21. These commentators are idiots. If they don't think that hit the post, then they shouldn't be in a job.
  22. Thank you Neville Jetta, about time someone tried something different.
  23. Jamar you big stud... See what happens when you kick the friggin thing.
