  1. If it's one way traffic, then we are in a lot of trouble. And the way we are playing this year, we'll be lucky to win a game, so you're probably right. But, we do need these types of players if we are to improve - but they won't come unless we do improve, which we won't with this lot. So, in other words, we probably are stuffed.
  2. Get rid of Sylvia, Davey and Jamar. Cut a heaps more spuds like Tapscott, Strauss and anyone who can't break into this pathetic side. Spend up on getting a gun young kid here like Rory Sloane, Nat Fyfe, Ollie Wines. I don't care what it costs us, do this and then recruit more Terlich type players, instead of wasting coin on Sylvia, Davey and the rest of the spuds.
  3. Sylvia should be our first to be told that he is done and we should drop him back to Casey for the year. I've had enough of this fool.
  4. Adam, Jamar won't lift, this is as good as he is. He had one good year. Now he's slowed down even more and has lost the little spring he had. Jamar is done, nothing's changed from last year, still a spud, still too scared to kick and too slow to handball. Stef Martin had far better numbers than Jamar last year - in the games Martin played. Why we signed Jamar and got rid of Martin, who knows?
  5. Wasn't Neeld midfield coach at Collingwood? I can't remember, but if so.. Then between the lot of them, what are they doing?
  6. I wouldn't follow AFL anymore. It's becoming like netball anyway, you can't even dive in and get the ball anymore, soon you won't be allow to tackle. I'd probably go back to supporting grass roots footy, where players don't get penalized for being first at the ball and going in hard.
  7. The solution.. Start looking at pissing off Sylvia, Davey and any players on decent coin who aren't delivering - yes Jamar, that is you. Put that money towards enticing Rory Sloane home, put that money into trying to get Ollie Wines back home. Those are the types of players we need. Hard at it, mid field types like Jack Viney and Nathan Jones, we need a couple more of those for starters. That would help much more than some silly money ball plan that has us paying delisted spuds like Rodan, Brynes and Pederson that wouldn't get a game in mid gippy two's, let alone any other AFL football club. We have 6-7 players to build a club around. Viney, Howe, Grimes, Clark, Jones, Tommy Mac.. Maybe a couple others. We need to look very closely at how we are developing these players, because too many players look weak, get knocked off the ball too easily and look to lack pace off the mark - when we know they had it to start with.
  8. I think Carey was more picking at the beard because beards are manly - and our players are female. In other words, some of our players look like tarsan - but play like Jane. Until they play like Max Rooke, they should trade their beards in for skirts. Adam Goodes has a beard - fair enough. Jack Watts has a beard - WTF!
  9. Good to hear this, not because I like to... But because there is a problem and we deserve to know more. A-hole the board and start again.
  10. The board has too much control over this club. All decisions get made in the boards favour. The writing was on the wall with Scully... Brock... Then Dean Bailey woke up to himself and gave evidence against our club - because our board and people have no integrity. What do they stand for? This time, the board should go - and coach stay, but that won't happen. And to be honest, Neeld hasn't exactly helped himself by bringing in the blokes he has.
  11. Float him to GWS or GC, see if they bite. Consensus is that a lot of our players would prosper on other lists. Well, we haven't got many untouchables... Howe, Jones, Clark, Grimes, Viney, Blease. I don't think I've missed anyone, but the rest are up for grabs at years end. And although I feel sorry for Neeld, his money ball approach hasn't really helped him. How you call Rodan, Byrnes, Dawes, Pederson money ball is beyond me. We struggled last year with hardness and we need some animals, yet we bring these blokes in and a receiver in Toumpas. Wouldn't blame Hogan if he has a word to the AFL and tells them he aint playing for such a rabble.
  12. We either overhaul the whole board, or just fold us up. Because under this board and coach, we are going no where. Some say it's the players, look it probably is, but they are better than the hiding they are copping. We need to drastically change what we have in place, because we a joke, everyone's laughing at us and think we should fold and it's hard to disagree. We need attack on the footy.
  13. Yeah, he's got no core, is slow, doesn't like the one percenters, but hey... it's his second game. We got a bloke in Jack Watts who's been doing this for a few years.
  14. Frawley, where the hell is that going..
  15. I got a laugh out of that at least, good call.
  16. Why has no-one put a hit on Heppell? He's slight on, take him out, simple. At the very least stick tight to him, elbow him in the ribs, make him feel it. Absolute bruise free footy at it's best. The thing is, these Essendon players aren't even that good. Perish the thought of playing a top 4 side.
  17. My old man, who used to coach footy, asked me if he was taking the p*ss.
  18. Very bad on both sides by the umps so far.
  19. That is a load of crap. Hooker actually pulled up, he could've creamed Grimes. Bit stiff hooker. Gutsy Grimes, very very gutsy. Throw back to the old days Grimes.
  20. Gee I fear when we play a good side. Might cop a 200 plus hiding.
  21. It's a training drill for Essendon. Zarahkis and Heppell are allowed to stroll around unchecked. This might be 100 plus at half time.
  22. After watching Melbourne for the past couple of decades, I'd of thought Darling and Wines were exactly what we need, toughness.
  23. We done the right thing getting rid of Gysberts, Morton, Jurrah, Cook. They are too slight on. And judging by Neeld getting rid of those types, I am gobsmacked we didn't take Wines.
  24. Gysberts - Lack of work ethic and lazy. Jurrah - Lazy and has his own rules, hates stern authority and won't buy in. Martin - On figures, was our best ruckman last year, bit of a loss. Moloney - Bit of loss, but was hurting our disposal into the forward line, just bombs it.. Pettard - Had a punting problem, has talent and needed a change. No loss I don't think any of those players are a big loss. Moloney will have a big year at Brisbane, but he is in check up there - because he most likely respects Voss and Brown. I don't think Brent and Neeld saw eye to eye, Brent probably thought, what have you done and why should I respect you... Maybe fair call. I think the only real loss we've had in the past few years has been Brock, as he is exactly what we need. A fit and firing McLean would at least have us having a dip..
