  1. Must you?
  2. I'm generally with you. Only recently rejoined so I could catch up with old friends. Not enjoying being bombarded by the ads for reality shows. Reality shows; they're not the end of the world, but they make a good argument for it. The video is hard to explain without ruining the story.
  3. Not sure if a facebook media works here or not...but a mate just sent me this: https://www.facebook.com/messenger_media/?thread_id=778023629&attachment_id=574855740494469&message_id=mid.%24cAABa_S1ps_WCPWuQNF8DCYsSuOzo

Good point you make there. WB over-stocked in the midfield as it is.
  6. Very risqué @Pollyanna. Impressed by your multi-tasking skills@DeeZone - being able to post about it at the same time.
  7. When the epicentre is at @Bitter but optimistic's mansion, THEN I will be worried.
  8. Interviewer: Jack Watts, what are you most grateful for? Jack Watts: Dan Andrews.
  9. Time to enact Plan B @Jaded
  10. Reports of Mt Buller being near the epicentre: confirmation of the Norm Smith Curse lifting hypothesis?
  11. Did we just have an earthquake? Or was that the weight of the Norm Smith Curse being lifted?

What happened in this particular event? Multiple sources would be welcome, however further evidence that it was an ugly outcome would disappoint but not surprise me. For context, the period during the Napoleanic wars and post-Napoleonic depression were barbaric times. What white people were doing to white people was unconscionable by modern standards; add racism / ignorance to that and the probability of unreasonably excessive brutality towards non-whites is high.
  13. I'd suggest that you smile sweetly and respond "yes he is quite good, that's why the AFL coaches votes had him tied equal 2nd with Ollie Wines...13 votes behind Clayton Oliver".
  14. Being told the MFC will never win another premiership because of what I wear to the game - I fail to see how adhering to the Long Room Dress Code impacts on the team's on-field performance. Years ago I had the pleasure of meeting legendary Demon stalwart Shaun "Duxy" Dux (see below) at the Cricketers Arms when we were all having Won Beer* after a then rare win (against GWS). Duxy stated that he thought that my jacket, collar and tie was part of what was holding the MFC back. However, Duxy did have the good grace to concede my point that if the players were all looking up in the stands to see what I was wearing then they really didn't have their minds focused on the game anyway. * Got home at 2am, wife was confused by my voicemail...she thought that I'd be home after one beer. Better days ahead Duxy!
  15. Admirable restraint. Unbridled decadence.

Good thinking @Luther. The introduction of the term Rubber Fist does however push the topic to a precipitous edge; vulnerable to certain infamous dungeon-dwelling Demonlanders.

Reminds of the soccer chant "he's here, he's there, he's every bl00dywhere"

  19. All the best to Dee's fans flying into WA from the non-lockdown states. I'm hearing that the WA border pass form is dauntingly comprehensive:

For the overall AFL, yes. For the MFC defenders - the Haymes Paint sponsored 'tight as 2 coats of paint" award!
  21. Jack Henry is a very very good footballer. Just as well too; heroically ugly.
  22. Hi @Superunknown, it was being recorded so it's possible that they may use it as content later.
  23. Members Zoom meeting with Maysie, Gary Pert, Troy Chaplin and Jim Plunkett. In summary: Maysie's hamstring is "all good", First thing this morning Troy Chaplin bought coffee for both Goodwin and Yze - aspersions were being cast as to whether this was a Machiavellian coaching takeover coup.
  24. I'm trying to spot @McQueen in there...looking for a bloke with a slab and a fishing rod.
