3 goals in 32 seconds - the quickest 3 goals ever?
TRIGON replied to Lou C. Fur's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not junktime, Red & Blue time...from the Doggies perspective - Black & Blue time. And I don't mean that to gloat; it seriously must have hurt. -
@binmanis THE ORACLE and had actually nailed the exact winning margin until his Dyscalculia kicked in.

Ahh yes, the classic old english toast "to my wife and sweetheart...may they never meet".

I'm not particularly religious but "if Kossie does shepherd I shall not want"

Jack Viney: First option works! And played a major role in helping win the game.

It was Jackson, but an enjoyable read nonetheless.

A thread to show appreciation to the wives and girlfriends, many of whom have had to make substantial personal sacrifices so that the squad could get the job done.

Now I'm glad this happened in my mid-50s...would hate to be one of those guys who peaked in high school.

Pretty straightforward @CHF, now that they've got your address.

Not hollow, but bittersweet not being able to share it in person with the mates that I normally go to the footy with - texts going back and forth, but not quite the same. Afterwards I wondered if this is what's it's like to be looking on from above? Being able to observe it but not quite touch it. Saying that, the photos coming through from WA Demons really helps with the connection. Please keep up the good work.

I may have double-standards (at least I have some) in that I'd rip into Cats, Hawks, Pies & Bombers supporters. However would not want to ridicule/humiliate Bulldogs supporters. And for clarification - Roger the Demon Dog was a pre-game omen, not post-game ridicule.

Yes, a Scot for sure. A former team-mate of mine (cricket, a game he loved) and fortunate enough to re-connect and become good friends about 4-years before he passed. Ripping bloke with a strong moral compass. One of my most memorable and emotional moments was a 30-minute conversation at Sean's wake with his mother (Peggy), telling her of how proud he was of her - Sean spoke of her often. Peggy spoke of how bittersweet the last 6-months of Sean's life were, knowing he was going to pass but getting to spend more time with him...remembering that our game took her son to the other side of the world when he was still a very young man. Peggy's parting words "promise you will never forget my son". Peggy Wight...promise kept!

Achieved against quality opposition too. Because of the scoreline, that might get lost in the mists of time.

I beg your pardon, WHAT?

For those of you suffering from feelings of nausea - stay calm, try to breathe deeply, and don't succumb to footbulimia. -

All I ask is that they play like Sean Wight - hard, fair, and ferocious. -
