Ironic that we overlooked Oscar McIneirny when he was playing as a Casey Demon. ?
-
I was at the Mountain View last Saturday to watch the match. When I arrived the place was teeming with pre-match Carlscum and Essendrug supporters but all screens were on Dees vs Roos. Ten minutes before the MCG kick-off, the place was deserted as the rabble had all charged down to the G, leaving a few tables of Demon supporters. The pub then switched all screens to the Blues vs Bombers, halfway through the final quarter in Hobart, and the manager, in an Essendon jumper, claimed it was a Foxtel issue and he couldn’t do anything about it. I think not! I suggest the ‘Sporting Globe’ for your reunion!

I am assuming that Viney is out for a second week, in which case, I would bring Harmes in!
-
And Harmes for Jones.
-
Nailed it IMHO. Nibbler on the interchange, Bedford to replace Fritsch (if suspended), Jones to be medical sub again (which adds to his tally). Baker, Petty & Melksham as emergencies.

I like the idea of MacDonald going back and Weed coming into the forward line with Brown. People forget that, not only have Brown and Weed trained together, but they have excelled playing together in the VFL. Before anybody chips in to say the AFL is faster, both have been there before.
-
Frankly, I’d move Mac back, a position he is familiar with. Retain Brown up forward and bring in Weidman. Brown and Weidman have combined well at VFL level over recent weeks and are both part of the plan when Brown recruited. Sparrow or Harmes for Viney until he comes back.

Started watching the Melbourne game at the Mountain View (Richmond) in a pub full of feral Essendon and Carlton supporters. At 3/4 time they all streamed out to the MCG leaving a few tables of the Melbourne faithful. Suddenly all the screens changed over to Essendon/Carlton as Foxtel switched halfway through the last quarter, even though there were none of their supporters remaining in the premises. The hotel staff apologised and said that it was Foxtel that did it automatically and that they couldn’t switch back. ? Grrr!

Even worse is that, in the ‘celebrity’ footy tipping, the Lord Mayor of MELBOURNE, Sally Capp, has been picking GWS, Geelong, etc instead of the team that bears the name of her own city.? What’s that about? ? it would never have happened with John So!

Majak Daw was the highest ranked of our players in the VFL. 126 Dream Team points yesterday against Richmond.
-
That’s why 75% of the tipsters went for Richmond. Hard to beat a team above you on the ladder when you share top spot. ? It will be different next week when we play North and we will probably be favourites for the first time this season. A worrying position to be in when we play our best footy as underdogs. ☹️ If we will, let’s hope that it is a massive win to boost our percentage however with the Dogs playing Richmond without Dusty it doesn’t help that.
-
126 Dream Team points for Majak Daw defies the critics. Maybe he is better insurance than most pundits predicted? Maybe we could give Max a rest next week in the VFL and throw Majak in against his old team? ?
-
Maybe we should debut Majak Daw as well? ?
-
Who’s Brilliant? ? What position does he play? ?
-
Obviously we need relegation!
-
Why on earth does he need to push Tom out? ? Why not Mitch Brown? ?
-
You are right. After all, we are yet to beat anyone ahead of us on the ladder. ?
-
Be nice if they broadcast the VFL game in the MCC Long Room and Members Dining. ?

For God’s sake, I cannot believe how many Demonlanders are suggesting trading Brayshaw! ? Brayshaw is our ‘culture’! obviously, many have not watched Gus’s weekly session with Gawn to realise how popular he is and how it is guys like him that bond a team together. Plus he is not too shabby as a player. Frankly, I think that guys like Gawn, Petracca etc would prefer to have a drop in their own salary to keep Gus than to see our team ripped apart at his expense.

Kate Roffey Set to Become President of the MFC

My dinner is still on the table at six. Where did my wife get it so wrong? ? -
Petty is a lock however we may see Hibbard as well (maybe for Jetta) based on his BOG at Casey practice match last weekend). Lockhart another possibility.
-
Hibbard may also come in over these weeks (maybe at the expense of Jetta)?
-
I think Petty (replacing May) is a lock. The only other change that might occur is Hibbard who was BOG last Saturday maybe at the expense of Jetta. ?
