Unfortunately, these occurrences come to be expected when teams play us.

Jack Watts signs for three years (21/7/16)
Demon Jack replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Part of me feels that what Watts has demonstrated on the field this year is only a taste of what's to come. Jack is about to enter the prime of his career and will no doubt only get better from here. Wouldn't be surprised if next year we see Watts produce a 55+ goal season (provided he remains as a half forward). -

Good on you Jack! http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-07-21/jack-watts-off-the-table-demon-shuns-free-agency -
I'd rather play Tom Gilles at full forward than bring back Dawes. Bizzare call from Roos. Dawes has only booted one goal from his four games this year. In all seriousness, I'd much rather bring back Pedders or even potentially blood Hulett or Weideman.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 18
Demon Jack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Chances are that I'll probably end up going to the movies on Saturday and miss the game, only to find myself gloating afterwards that I sat through every minute of our thrilling 2 point win. -
A flag would be nice I suppose....To be honest, I have little to no idea of what success is like, as I only started following the Demons seriously in 2007.

No real surprises there if these are the changes that come at the end of the year. Shame that Max King hasn't been able to kick on after he showed some good form as a tall forward last year. Wagner has been very solid this year and deserving of a spot on the main senior list. I'm also looking forward to see how Joel Smith develops next year.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - ANGUS BRAYSHAW
Demon Jack replied to ashdemons22's topic in Melbourne Demons
Things happen when he has the ball. Simple as that. He's still an incredibly exciting prospect. Such a typical Melbourne supporter attitude to criticise a high draft pick 25 games who has been hit heavily with injury and concussion this year. Watch the Geelong game from last year to remind yourself of how good he's going to be. -
Viney nominated for Mark Of The Year
Demon Jack replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Almost forgot Mark of the Year exsisted. Seemed like the only thing Howe was good for back in his day. Anyway, Viney's mark was terrific. Perfect balance between courage and skill. -
In: Stretch, Neal-Bullen, Frost Out: AVB, Grimes, White

Roos has done a fantastic job with this football club. He's changed a club who would start Daniel Nicholson and Jordie Mckenzie in the centre square with the likes of Brayshaw and Vince. Unfortunately, I can't help but feel that there's something clearly lacking on game day. As previously alluded to, Roos lacks a plan B or a 'break glass in case of emergency' button in his coaches box that he can use to turn the tide of the game. At times, I feel like the players are trying to do something to stem the flow themselves but are unsure on how to do it as they have not been properly directed.

Unfortunately, he couldn't get anywhere near it on the weekend. I think he's played some good games over the last month but he completely dropped away on the weekend. One tackle isn't good enough for someone playing as a defensive forward/inside midfielder. Definitely likely to be dropped for this week. Wouldn't mind Stretch coming back as he can supply that outside run Vanders lacks.

It's his first year ADC, coaches are probably very watchful and mindful of his game time in the hope that he doesn't break down with injury. Wouldn't be too concerned about him. He's shown more than enough to suggest he'll be a more than serviceable player. Happy for him to spend the rest of the year plying his trade in the VFL and bring him back fresh and fit next year. Plus, unlike Gysberts and his linguini like arms, Oliver actually has some muscle on them, alongside some added grunt.

At least we're not Brisbane.

Overall, he's been pretty solid over the last month. His kicking has improved big time.

First game this season where I find myself struggling to find any positives. All the work and positives in the first quarter were quickly undone by the end of the second quarter. Besides from Viney, there were no real standouts in terms of individual performances either. Saying that, it was encouraging to see Brayshaw back in action and (aside from a couple of shockers) play pretty well. At this stage of the season, all I can hope for is that we keep backing the youth in and keep getting games into the likes of Hogan, Brayshaw, Petracca, Kent and Hunt. It's just such a shame that this has been the tradition over the last decade. Despite the large amount of Strauss' and Tapscotts that have come through the club, I'm extremely confident that this is the core group of young players we've been waiting for since 2007.

At the Richmond vs Essendon game with a Tigers supporting mate. Richmond look seriously ordinary. First three goals to the Bummers.

Mackie love fest on Channel 7 so far for his 250th.

Beat me by 20 seconds Stuie. Cracking news. A really important signing going forward.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17
Demon Jack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
And so the era of Petracca and Brayshaw tearing up the midfield begins. -
Hawthorn will win the premiership again this year and I can't stand it.

Get a small group of the boys to re-enact this.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17
Demon Jack replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
From the two games he's played against St Kilda at Etihad, Hogan has booted 12 goals so far. Based on that, it goes without saying that we can expect another big game from him considering St Kilda's undermanned defence and Hogan's great form over the last month. Winning will depend on how many he can take with him.
