  1. missing: Clark retired Trengove season Hogan indefinite Mitchie 3 weeks Kent 1 week King mystery !! Spencer
  2. Development coach in 2014. We are 3 years too late.
  3. Get Beamer back for a one season farewell tour ... base payments.
  4. If Hogan is out for the year, I will Screeeeeeam !!!!!
  5. Luke Shuey - tough. fast. goalkicker. Offer the world and our 1st pick. Luke Parker - 5 year deal. Exactly what we need. Huge grunt. Loves it hard and is tough as nails. Brad Sewell - free agent. Sets the example. 2 year deal. Would teach the standard to others. No backwards steps. Jono O'Rourke - class. Height and skilled midfielder. At 20, will be very very good within 12 mths Adam Tomlinson - Jack Watts style but will attack the footy. Versatile and can develop into stromg leader. Pick 18-21 gets the deal done. Nick Malcevski - exactly the half back we need. Tough. Melbourne boy. experienced. skilled left footer. Delisted free agent likely. Get into his ear now for a deal.
  6. Time to recruit for a new skilled ruckman.
  7. watch the style of play ... 5 things stand out. 1. one grab footy 2. smart footy ... kick to 15 metre out of the goalface. Not to pockets. 3. physically players go at the footy. No short steps. 4. real desire to win 5. kick long to forwards ... not 5 chip kicks going nowhere
  8. I played with some blokes like Jack. They often were out injured by July, with colds, a sore thigh or had other commitments. More talented than me but barely reliable. Jack Watts is a basketballer playing footy.
  9. I agree 100%. Especially Watts as sub. It sends a message.
  10. agree with a prior post 6-N Jones 5-Viney daylight ... 4-Cross 3-Dawes 2-Frawley 1-Dunn
  11. Clark, Hogan, Michie, Tapscott ... and Barry (!!!)
  12. Big Jake is a good filler until we get a decent ruckman in. He is certainly not top 12 in the league for rucks. Skills and decision making are very very poor. Peter Wright is likely as our 1st draft choice.
  13. In ... Jetta and Clisby Out ... Evans and Terlich sub. Dean Kent
  14. Thumping kick. Goes in hard. Needs to learn about his role. Get it and thump it. His decision making can be simplified. Tapscott has huge upside. Dont give up on the kid. (I did hear swap for Jarryd Lyons was mooted at end of 2013).
  15. 6- N Jones 5- Frawley 4- McDonald 3- Viney 2- Cross 1- Bail
  16. Merry Xmas ... Go the mighty Demons
  17. Likely draft outcome 1st round #1 Patrick McCartin, Geelong Falcons 195cm Johnathan Brown like key forward 2nd round priority pick #21 trade away for a midfielder: #22 Billy Stretch * father/son -179cm pacy wingman "Frawley compensating" #23 Sean Mclaren, Sandringham Dragons- 198cms ruck/forward 3rd round #42 trade to Cats for Jordan Schroeder - 184cms half forward/mid. Goalkicker and tough. Free agent - Matt Rosa - 190 cms classy wingman Upgraded rookie Mitch Clisby thats 7 in
  18. Billy Stretch is a bright spot in a dark current landscape. Sign Billy and use our 2nd round choice approx 20. He is a good wingman and has pace which we lack.
  19. Tapscott and Garland ... More mystery than Poirot!!!
  20. Goodvibes. Myself and 33,000 others share your love for the club. I share your pain, but we shall never surrender. Lets stay angry and keep our desire to win.
  21. outs ... Byrnes, Bail, Terlich, Fitzpatrick ins ... Blease, Trengove, Clisby, Gawn
  22. This thread get to 500 pages by November. 1- McCartin 2-Wright 3-Brayshaw 4- Petrecca 5- Lever Nth will be desparate to get Brayshaw. Ryan Bastinac and North pick 12 (9th place) for our pick 2. Assume MFC gets priority pick and pick 1.
  23. With Mitch Clarks retirement, it does bring Patrick McCartin into my draft targets. Comparison to Johnathan Brown is a big drawcard. Imagine Hogan and McCartin in the same forward line. Giants have Patton and Cameron and we should aim for 2 key forwards.
  24. Throw 3 years and $600,000 a year at Chip
