Yes I’m a fan of Tom Joyce. I reckon the Eagles might grab him at around their pick 24-26 , adjusted for fatherson and academy picks. O’halloran remains the real standout are 24-27 range. Whilst I think more running mids are preferred (Mckenzie, Kennerley, Turner, Hamill), the Taylor-style is Ely Smith and Sparrow. Grunt.

Yes this is almost a mirror of my post under Bailey Williams. I was hoping for Williams but Taylor’s comments reflect we will target young midfielders. Ely Smith is interesting. Clearance kick. Handballs rather than kicks to create. With Viney and Oliver and then Smith, we would rule the contested clearances. Hoping for class of O’halloran and then pace of McKenzie.

In the mix Xavier O’halloran- in hope Sam Sturt - in hope Tom McKenzie Jacob Kennerley Fraser Turner Will Hamill Hopefully Toby Bedford nomination is 3rd Round or later. We will definitely match. I think Ayton-Delaney is still in our mix for the 3rd Round (50s) pick if Bedford nominated after this. Agree with Harry Reynolds in 3rd Round and Frank Anderson at the end (possibly at pick 83-90 wherever it ends up). Demons look to focus on pace through young midfield additions. Lockhart still my rookie pick. Reward and backline backup for Jetta just in case.

Yes agree. Taylor will focus on mids for 23 and 28. Brings guys like O’halloran, McKenzie, Hamill and Turner into the mix. Perhaps it’s going to be a pace focused draft. Unlikely to see Williams in red and blue.

Agree Xavier O’halloran would be the best outcome for our 1st pick. Afl quality shines through. Has all the assets of the modern player including footy smarts.

McHenry is not small just lightweight. Needs at least 2 years protein powder and weights. Aerobic strength definitely. Might be being harsh but it’s my opinion. I think Bedford under the nga selection will meet our small forward development needs.

Wow. Hardly compelling. Random players here. Yes Bedford of course. Sturt of course. Xavier O’halloran- agreed Curtis Taylor and Ed McHenry will struggle at the next level. Taylor is smart but no real strength. McHenry has good endurance but light frame will get destroyed at AFL level. Ian Hill will go by pick 15-16. Forgot to mention Tom McKenzie. Jacob Kennerley keeps being mentioned. Classic wingman. Agree with Fraser Turner and Ayton-Delaney. Both have real pace and footy ability. Zac Foot and Will Hamill are a Yes vote. Oscar Chapman and McGannon are not likely to be drafted. McGannon was an over aged player who had a good year but not draft worthy. McGannon should link up with Casey Demons imo. Brayden Ham should be a rookie chance.

Agree. I think delisted free agents should be available in shorter windows. It’s a very drawn out process and players must have an extremely anxious few weeks after the mental challenge of being delisted.

Bytel’s medicals are the key. His 2017 year was outstanding. He could be the steal of the draft. Likely goes to Bulldogs or Swans at pick 32-33 range.

Yes he impressed at the combine. Connected to Petracca and Weideman through Marcellin College schoolboy footy. I would think he is still a punt but you never know. At 91 or 80-84 as we end up, it’s a dartboard pick at best. He will likely play VFL next year (Box Hill most probably) if not drafted.

Yes agree with Curtis Taylor as an X factor. Sam Sturt is the other top 20 X style player. A different type of X factor is Bailey Williams who could be available at 23 or 28. Can take the game on and as a big forward, can kick 2-3 quick goals if given the chance. For small forwards, Toby Bedford (Demons NGA) and Zac Foot are definitely X factor types. Irving Mosquito has the name and skills to be a very exciting AFL player though hawks have claim on him. (“Mozzzzzzie”) Atu Bosenavulgi is another small forward but tied to Pies via NGA. Pies may struggle to match any call in him so watch out for a poacher club. A classy X factor is Xavier O’Neill. He is not spoken about like the other Xaviers ((Duursma and O’halloran) but O’Neill is very exciting and classy in an outside mid role. I wouldn’t be disappointed if he ended up at MFC. My biggest smoky X is Harry Reynolds. APS Schoolboy footy remains a very strong competition and he was a standout. He just gets the footy out of nothing and his acceleration over 5 metres reminds me of some of the very good indigenous players.

Sturt will definitely be a handy footballer. Has smarts around goal which is always sought after.

If anyone tries to nominate Bedford in the 20s, they are joking. He is good but lots more development needed. Needs to get the footy more. 10 touches a game is not enough at TAC level to warrant.

Nice thinking but probably too risky for the first time. I’d suggest it to the Crows and see what they think. It’s probably only considered if the Crows have eyes on any 2019 draftees from SA.

If we took Mclennan and Stack before Williams and Turner, I’d be amazed. Snoop dog must be a Bulldogs man. To pass Bailey Williams twice would be harder to take.

Twomey has Bailey Williams outside the first round. With probably Fraser Turner at 28 Big Footy groupies have him coming to us. Kennerley at 28 Knightmare has Bailey Williams coming to us and Fraser Turner at 28 Trend? All that matters is who Jason “The Man” Taylor picks.
