  1. Matthew Allen from the Eagles is one player who should be on the Dees radar. The South Australian is now 21 and been on the Eagles list without cracking a game. Won B&F for East Perth in WAFL last year. Good skills and is a goal kicker. Due to strength of Eagles, he can’t get a go. Worth a late draft pick or delisted free agent opportunity imo.
  2. Melksham has been out for 8 weeks already. It was scheduled to be only 4-5 weeks so it will probably be another few weeks at best. Likely he’ll be listed as “season “ in the next fortnight.
  3. Did we get the weekend with no additional injuries????? Please no training this week. They might trip over a witches hat knowing our luck !!!
  4. Suns are clearly tanking. Weller playing back pocket is as bad as Frawley on a wing.
  5. Fritschenberger is much better forward of centre. His game on the weekend showed he can be very good as a wing/half forward. That’s his spot. Don’t move him back imo.
  6. Trac is best at half forward and needs to improve his goal kicking as a priority. He is a keeper and can be a 30-40 goal a year player definitely. His burst into the midfield through a game will be just a burst. I don’t see him as a permanent mid. His aerobic fitness doesn’t fit the modern game where 15kms is covered by some of the mids.
  7. Answer. Hill and Langdon or similar types. We need two skilful wing types that run and deliver. Fritsch may be likely but I prefer him at half forward. None of our mids are particularly skilled or fast. Their disposal is average at best. That’s Viney Oliver Harmes Brayshaw and Jones. Our entries into the fwd50 reflect this. It’s the biggest challenge.
  8. Ins. Tim Smith. Corey Wagner outs. Hannan. Anb.
  9. Sam Day. He is definitely worth a 3-4 year contract offer. Showed again last night that he is wasted by the Suns.
  10. Same comment. Different week. Tracs miss was deflating.
  11. 6 Viney 5 Gawn 4 May 3 Petty 2 Frost 1 Salem not the Trac. Dees even. Had a easy shot from 25 metres and missed. Dogs reply and went in to win. It was a crucial miss!!
  12. MFC - lost winnable game MFC - not very smart I think today give us so many chances and I think the players will think it was “an honourable loss”. I agree Joeboy was harsh on Lockhart. He’s having a crack.
  13. From today’s game, only Corey Wagner should be elevated. He should replace either Anb or Hannan. I’d keep Dunkley in to see how he goes. Jkh is not really quite up to AFL in terms of delivery and intensity.
  14. Fuc!$)&;n weak. Didn’t want to win. Really. Anb. Trac. Fritsch missed easy easy shots. 15-25 metres out are kicks that should be goals. Cost us. Anb and Hannan only get games based on 2018. Both have really gone soft.
  15. Agree on this. He is surviving on 2018 form and our lack of fit players. Needs to lift NOW
  16. Not with pick 3-4. NEED quality midfielder with a low pick. There is at least 8-10 before Flanders.
  17. Agree. He stays at Casey to develop. Still a kid but I like his skill, smarts, pace and endeavour.
  18. 11 AFL Listed MFC Players only. Dogs expected to win by at least 7 goals. Apart from Caleb Daniel (who is probably on the bench in their best 22), they have a fully fit squad!!! 19 AFL listed players. Amazing!!
  19. In 2013, Dees won 2 games and had a percentage of 54%. Hadn’t played in finals for 7 years. But we got no priority pick!! Suns are expansion club so they do need help. Smart decision is to give them two priority picks at the end of round 1. One must be used and one to be traded for a single player. That way they should get 3 picks in the top 20 plus a very good player. Of course they also can offer big $$$ to a free agent.
  20. Good call DD. I have watched Kemp in 4 matches and he has real speed. He can win the footy and use it. He can start forward and then move into midfield. Reminded me of a young Dangerfield. I hope he is available. I think he has risen up like a young Clayton Oliver. Kemp is also a good country Vic boy from the Wimmera.
  21. Mckernan and Himmelberg both were marked by omcd and were made to look like champions. They did destroy him.
  22. Please no Omcd. Has done nothing to deserve a recall. Has had a horrible 2019. Has definitely actually shown he is not up to AFL standard.
  23. Looking to see how #65 Liam Buxton-Wales goes this week. Impressed me earlier in the year and I think could be rookie opportunity at end of the year. Also will look out for bulldogs #56 Anthony Scott. Running wingman who played at Old Trinity and Richmond’s VFL team. Heard he is a goalkicking wingman who has realty shown this year in the Dogs VFL team.
