  1. Dees to have a 3 week block in Sydney. That hurts. Possible draw rd 6 Versus Kangas/Saints rd 7 Versus Giants rd 8 versus Swans
  2. I have to agree with Wallace. Don’t need 4 mid sized forwards like Fritsch, Hannan, Vdberg and Melksham in the forward line. Need a second tall to compete and at least bring the footy to ground. I’ll be watching the game but we’ll need to improve the conversion. Points per game. 49.6 (lowest in the league) 21 goals from 131 inside 50 entries. (0.16 conversion, lowest in the league) Connection forward of centre !!!!
  3. Agree. Spargo is not the answer. His skills were horrible. Turnover king in 2019. No tricks to succeed at 5’8.
  4. Yes we have 4 in this category. Might be carrying a few too many.
  5. It’s a mad year. I feel for all players who just want to play.
  6. Weid still missing !! Surely he needs a chance. Or has Goodwin marked his card and set for trade.
  7. I agree Chandler has the class but appears pigeon holed as a small forward which is where he played junior footy. Small forwards are often the most evasive and skilled. Think Rioli. Think Betts.
  8. Weideman in?? Any chance ???? Surely in the 25 squad.
  9. Whatever way - Sidebottom deserves 4 weeks. Just for stupidity !!!
  10. Agree Eddie’s ego is Australia’s version of Trump. Out of control
  11. And Frawley didn’t like being a forward and wasn’t. And Jetta didn’t like being a forward and wasn’t. Plenty more specialize in a position not get thrown around.
  12. Brayshaw played outside in his draft year and across half back. He’s suited to a link type player. Not inside. He shouldn’t be in there with Viney, Harmes, Petracca or Oliver.
  13. Demons likely move? NSW?? NT ???
  14. And it works sometimes and not others. It’s not critical for all players. Imo Harmesy is not a half back. He’s an onball tough mid who rotated forward. Just like Oliver
  15. One young 18yo who might be a 25-35 range is Zac Dumesny. Tall mid-utility with good skills. Andrew Mackie like. Played senior footy with South Adelaide in round 1 and looked comfortable. One for JT to watch.
  16. Salem-Hibberd-Rivers. HBF pretty well covered.
  17. Yes similar type to Harmesy. Tough. Both love the tackle. Great to have on our side of the trenches. I see VDHberger as a HFF-rotating on ball on occasion whereas Harmes is more of a mid-rotate HFF. Harmesy not used well by Goody this year. Hbf? No
  18. Not quite the match winner A grade type imo. 35 games in 6 years. Missed all of 2017 and 2019. When fit, he made us a better team but even fully fit he was a B grade range player. Hope he stays healthy and gets a good run. Great bloke.
  19. great work DeeSpencer. Agree. Yes you have to make Richmond’s defenders accountable. Yes Grimes. But also HOULI SHORT VLASTIN are all dangerous and rebound the footy. Top 1 issues v Tigers. 1- contain Dusty Martin. 2- stop rebounding defenders who start their attacks 3- hit your targets. Any skill errors are punished in counter attacks. We have worries here !
  20. Exactly. Clarko is a politician and a smart tactician.
  21. Agree. I was thinking this probably our strongest line up. No excuses. The performance against the Cats was very disappointing.
  22. Geelong FC has Player by Player review across the 18 players from the scratch match. Different approach.
  23. Not that long ... it stops at nth NSW
  24. Rowell was born and bred in suburban Melbourne. Never connected to the Suns. The AFL gifted Anderson to the Suns in one of the greatest signs of favouritism. Agree. Test will be how they play against teams “on the road”
  25. Some very good recruits. It’s a welcome back to a lot of the ex Gippsland power boys like Capiron, Reid and McGannon. Stackelberg is a very good young midfielder
