James Harmes Signs for 5 Years
Great news. Harmesy is a great competitor and loves the club. Bring on 2020

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Exactly. I’ve been a strong No as we have had a shocking run with injuries and struggled to get guys like Vandenburg and Joel Smith back on the park. I’ve got huge doubts in this area. Bennell has physical and mental issues to overcome so is a huge risk. For “free” does soften the risk but need GOODY/Burgess and Brukner to try to craft an impossible miracle.

Phantom Drafts
1- Suns Rowell 2- Suns Anderson 3- Dees nominate Tom Green Giants match. Lose pick 6 4- Dees Hayden Young 5- Crows Dylan Stephens 6- Swans Sam Flanders 7- Freo Luke Jackson 8- Dees Brodie Kemp 9- Blues Caleb Serong 10- Freo Deven Robertson Lachlan Ash would be the one who may slide but would be a bargain pick at 11+

Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Kemp brought up in JT podcast. Upside is huge. Have to see if JT has the nerve to back Kemp in for 2021. His abilities are Dangerfield like and the type of players all of us want to see. Real talent and excitement.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
I saw him at the Vic country v WA game live and agree he is an athlete but NOT worthy of pick 3. Would be 3year project type and then needs to work on footy skills and smarts. Raw is best description. Maybe maybe at pick 8 but I’m still seeing 3-4 others preferably available. It’s Young at 3 and Kemp/Flanders/Ash at 8 for me.

Lachie Henderson (Drafted by Geelong)
Agree. Physically looks in trouble for AFL level.

Road to the draft with Jason Taylor
Interesting Luke Jackson discussion. Very raw type still. Potential but footy skills not quite there. It would be a huge punt at pick 3. He has the basketball background and his athletic agility is appealing.
-
What to do with what is now Pick 74?
KPFs? Emerson Jeka. He’d be a punt. Hugo Munn 18 yr old from the Norwood SANFL reserves. He’d be a bigger punt. Never say never.

2020 AFL Fixture
Had to be due to play interstate in Round 1. No tougher assignment imo. Though finishing 17th gives you no right to ask for favours. It’s us against the world in 2019.

Coniglio and Ward back are two handy additions - A graders - add Jacobs and then add Green whose ready to go. Ouch.
-
Neville Jettas Protege
Lockhart played small back in 2018 at Casey. Had a great year. Definitely fits the bill imo

Phantom Drafts
GWS pick or match Green no matter what. He will be a star and (like Hopper) the Giants again get gifted a star.

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
A very good description. Hopefully gets through to pick 8
-
Nick Robertson
This is one of the only delisted free agents to date that’s worth picking up. Great competitor. Tackles and works hard. Sure limited but brings 100% to the contest. Depth type but would be handy if needed. Worth a 1-year opportunity for “free”.

Good work. I’m thinking Crows will grab Dylan Stephens at 5 and Sydney to grab Sam Flanders. Serong to Blues at 9 as a bargain. Hope it’s not a case of Ollie Wines with Young and Kemp. Demonlanders keen but we pick a Toumpas ahead of Wines and regret it for many years.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Agree. Some reckon he might be a key forward but I’m not keen

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Imo Jackson is a good young ruck and probably will go pick 10 to Freo. Maybe they’ll grab Robertson at 7 or 10.
-
Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
3-Green. Giants (nomination by Dees) 4- Young. Dees 5- Stephens. Crows 6- Ash. Freo 7- Serong. Swans 8- Kemp. Dees that’s a great double for the Dees

Sam Murray
So the hundreds of posters here are all clowns. They reckon it was because Goody was not prepared to see Frost-ball with erratic disposal. I’ll let them know. Anywhere BB comments on Sam Murray in your opinion. Put up or ... (you know the rest)
-
Sam Murray
He played some average footy. Pace ok. Not a great kick so under the Frost principle shown by Goody, wtf would we be looking at Murray.

2020 AFL Fixture
Away games. Probably at least 4 interstate trips excluding our NT game v Freo v Suns v Power v Swans.

2020 AFL Fixture
Likely get away game round 1. When you are 17th you deserve nothing. But here’s my 11 home game requests. Anzac Day eve game v Tigers (lock!) Queens Birthday game v Pies (lock!) of the 9 home games at the MCG, remaining 7 to be against 3 interstate teams (hopefully Crows, Lions and Eagles) and 4 vic based teams (Bombers, Blues, Cats, and either Bulldogs or Kangas). One at Marvel against interstate team (Suns) and One at Alice Springs (Giants). Unlikely to get a Friday night game unfortunately this year. 2-

Caleb Serong (Drafted by Fremantle)
I agree Serong is a smart footballer with good intensity at the contest. Small forward in first 1-2 years then progress to midfield role. Dependable Trent Cotchin style type. I’d take Young and Kemp first though as their upside is huge.
