Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Brayshaw is a keeper. Fantastic player. Over his concussion issues and 2018 showed his gun potential. 2019 not ideal but he wasn’t alone. Need to retain Oliver-Viney-Brayshaw-Harmes-Petracca and add outside runners like Langdon & Amon and gun pick #2/3 like Anderson or Ash.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Petruccelle and 32 for 13. Madness!! He’s hardly worth giving up a potential young star in top bracket.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
I like it. Trades make sense to get Langdon, Jenkins and Amon. Anb and Stretch are perfect trade options. Walker will be gone but probably only have 44/45 on list. Use pick #2 or 3 on Anderson/Ash. #39 (Miles Bergman Wing) # 57 (Brodie Newman HBF) rookie option is Blake Kuipers. 196cm ruck/forward. Impressed in games for Dandenong Stingrays. Reminds me of Tom Lynch (tigers) in style but only new to footy after volleyball background. Huge potential.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I’d keep pick 3 imo. The Josh Kelly outcome should be enough warning to keep our low pick.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
I’m so confused already with all the trade algorithms. It’s a busy crazy time.
-
Max Gawn 3 x All Australian
Well deserved Big Maxy. If not the best, he was the equal of Grundy. Max Gawn. Triple All Australian.
-
Callum Ah Chee
Would be good as a straight swap. They can have both Spargo and Oscar McDonald.
-
Adem Yze - Assistant Coach?
Yes
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Lewis $$ replaced by Langdon. Expect circa $450000 per year over 4 years. Still very good coin.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Go nuts for free agents imo
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Young would be a good pick but imo Ash is a better fit right now. His pace is the standout.
-
Karl Amon
Agree. Amon for peanuts is a good option
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Agree. Pick 21 is starting point. He is out of contract and we have #2 in pre season draft.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
Dan Butler is more likely as he has been surpassed by Bolton now. He has good aggression, tackling and goal sense. Worth a late 4th rounder trade pick around 60+. Not sure about Sam Gray but probably about same price. Zac Langdon could be a good option. Worth a conversation. From the draft, I’d go with Elijah Taylor. Could be there at pick 20-21 for us. He would add some excitement and pace around goals which is badly needed. It’s a NO on Cody Weightman . We already have Spargo as a young miniature schoolboy type.

Small forwards - what are our trading and draft options?
Absolutely. Sam Gray or Dan Butler. And cheap !!

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 23
QED. about right in my recollection of the year. Big Max must win the B&F by a fair margin

Thanks Jeffy
Love Jeffy. But time to call it a day. Thanks for the memories.

2019 - Positives
Yes not even I can forgive Lyon for fumbling the run out. Or that gutless umpire for not giving Stokes out lbw.

Official Delistings?
Off - Lewis ( ret ) Maynard (ret) Keilty (delisted) Garlett (delisted) Walker will retire himself. Tim Smith unlikely to go on. Jkh and jWagner on thin melting ice. Spargo hard to see him having the tools to deliver at AFL level (harsh but reality) Stretch and Jsmith may seek trades medicals for Vdberg and kk. Lots of changes ahead. Probably 8-9 list changes.

Karl Amon
Agreed. Great kick. Wins the footy. Happy to make a 3 year offer.

2019 - Positives
10 positives 1- big Max Gawn is a superstar. Huge heart and despite others falling away, he had a fantastic year. Deserves All Australian. Will finish top 10 in the Brownlow in a team that won 5 games. Lots of 2 votes rather than 3 votes will reduce his finish though. 2- we found Hore, Lockhart and Petty. Each showed me they will be part of our future. 3- we are back at the top of the National Draft. Yes it’s a sign of bad times and we’ve had enough, but we should get Ash or Young (Suns will be gifted 1-2 combo). Either Ash or Young are very good. Prefer Ash as he is tough and quick. 4- Sam Frost showed he can take on key forwards. His round 23 game v Brown showed his ability to shut down key forwards. His chase down of Petruccelle was also a highlight 5- Fritsch is a forward. Hopefully the last 7 weeks showed Goodwin not to put Fritta in the back pocket. His round 23 mark was my Dees mark of the year 6- Trac and Salem took a step up. Two highly rated 1st round picks. They are behind oliver and Brayshaw but showed their value. In a tough year, they can hold their head up. 7- Misson is gone ( Burgess has some serious fixing to do) 8- Lever and May played only a handful of games yet showed they will be very good and even better together to control the defence. Looking forward to 2020. 9- injuries killed us in 2019. It couldn’t be that worse in 2020 surely 10- footy showed the inflated egos that you need to work hard and it doesn’t just happen. YOU BECOME THE HUNTED. Lesson learned to all at MFC... I hope

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
afl and gillon mclachlalan-ilovemyself-lan are absolute two faced liars. Suns have about 13 1st round picks on their list and that was a reason why the Dees got no priority in 2014 Anderson and Rowell bromance is to keep them at the Suns. It’s not their doing but the world has gone mad !!! im angry

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Agree Ash is improving and has what we need. Speed!!!!

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
Swap our 2020 1st round to Freo for Langdon. They will have to bite. We need Langdon and our 2020 pick should be pick 18. Optimistic.
