Phantom Drafts
Wow. Young at 10. Thatās an amazing slide. His ball delivery is elite. His intercept marking. His leadership. His aerobic base is strong.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Agree. We need pace in the midfield and elite ball skills. Thatās Ash for pace and Young for delivery. Jackson may look at āgoing homeā after we develop him. Eagles and Dockers would be rabid if this kid was any good. And to keep him weād be paying $$$$$$. Heās raw and needs lots of development for 2-3 years+.

The Splitting of Pick 8
Yes. Agree. Dees would be in line for Kemp. But Cats want Kemp. 10 and 28 for 14 and 17 (Weightman and Bergman). Thatās sliding down too much imo
-
Phantom Drafts
Young and Ash would be super additions. We NEED elite ball use (Young) and pace (Ash). Pick 28 now sees us looking at small indigenous forwards like Kozzy Pickett or Elijah Taylor. Thats a top draft.

The Splitting of Pick 8
Adelaide likely to grab Stephens. Dees would have a tough choice here. Iād prefer Kemp and Ash over Weightman
-
Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Agree. Heās got real talent. Some of Kempās burst of pace out of packs at the championship was very āDangerfield likeā. If we still have pick 10, he would be the definite choice.

Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Cats want him. They might give us 14 and 17 for 10 and 28.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
10 and 28 for 14 and 17. That could work. Cats want Brodie Kemp desperately ... DESPERATELY

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Pick 3. Split? Do the Giants have anything to offer? 4 and 40. Crazy times!!!
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Agree 100%. Our ball delivery and foot skills were and are horrible. Young would be perfect. He gets the footy. He uses the footy. Why pass on him? Jackson is speculative and not what we want or need.

The Splitting of Pick 8
Pick 8 for Freo pick 10 + pick 22 makes sense. It helps both clubs

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Jackson is raw, athletic, basketball background. From WA. Footy skills are at a low base. Comparison to Grundy. Imo Grundy was more developed than Jackson. Can Jackson play forward? He didnāt at the championships. Pick 3??? Iām not convinced. Green is a proven midfield bull with comparison to Cripps. Demonstrated ability to win the footy and run and run. Giants should be forced to pay top dollar in picks points for him. If they donāt match, theyād be foolish. Dees need elite skilled footballers. Young meets our need and has great footy smarts and leadership. Worthy of pick 3.
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Dreams and reality. Never proven as a forward but Iām sure Dees can turn Jackson into a forward. Dreamers.
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Tom Green should be nominated at 3. He is a Cripps like player. We cannot allow Giants a free swing. Make them pay maximum points if they want him. If they donāt match, Iād happily bring him into a red and blue jumper.
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Didnāt play forward against carnival against Vic country or against Vic metro. Kicked how many goals?? ZERO. or points ?? ZERO or marks within 50??? One. IN 4 GAMES.
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Exactly. Jackson has not played as a forward. Itās about position and leading and competitive marking. Jackson has not shown this so why suddenly in the AFL?? Ridiculous
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
IF TOM GREEN IS AVAILABLE AT PICK 3 (which he will) THEN DEES MUST NOMINATE HIM. Cripps like player. Definitely a future star. If the Giants want him, they will have to pay top dollar !!
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
Mitch Brown would be a cheap experienced option for tall forward depth. Had a pretty good 2019.
-
Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Jackson is no forward. No footy smarts.
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Very raw ruckman from WA. No footy smarts. Basketball background. Heās no Natanui. Athletic. Absolutely. Where he can make a difference. But all AFL players are athletes. Do we need a young raw Ruckman? Probably not. We have Gawn, Preuss and development into Bradtke. Not sure if he #3 quality. A speculative punt at pick 3!!!
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Elite kick. Local boy. Ready to play round 1 2020. Leadership. Aerial skills. Perfect wing/half back. He is the best option at the first live pick. Our ball use has been horrible. Turnovers kill us. Why would we turn down selecting a kid who delivers the footy and would become our best kick right away.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - MITCH BROWN
Mitch Brown would be on base payment circa $180k for a depth type game player. But his 2019 again showed he can play and strongly contribute. Bargain for money imo.

Tom Green (Drafted by GWS Giants)
Yes thatās a possibility. If I was Giants, I would DEFINITELY MATCH ANY BID FOR GREEN. He will be a star.
