  10. Demons 31. Saints 10. The last 10 minutes - Saints 3 goals and ALL THE MOMENTUM. They took control. But seriously Nathan Jones. 15 metres out and you short pass to Steele. Itโ€™s is almost career ending for him.
  11. Oscar and Spargo back in our lineup !!! Pass the panadol.
  12. Yes agree with all. Johnstone.Watts.Scully.Trengove.Sylvia.Trac. Brayshaw.Oliver were all the forecast and popular picks. Mclean was a late bolter. Boards had him top 10 but not up at pick 5. Dees were keen on Kane Tenace, a pacy winger from Murray bushrangers. Tenace went to Cats at pick 7, won their best first year player after playing 15-16 games in year 1. He went off the boil and a few injuries and years later, he was delisted about 50-60 games only. Toumpas was the bizarre one. Tipped to go to Giants in top 3 picks but they referred kid called Jono Orourke a bolter from mid teens range. Orourke was a spud. Went from giants to hawks and then delisted. Dees were set on Ollie Wines to partner Jack Viney. But Toumpas slid from top 3 and we grabbed him. Majority of us still are absolutely puzzled why we passed up on Wines. Morton was a strange one. Huge get at the time and was to be the prototype tall midfielder. First 30-40 games were very good. But his intensity and contested footy was poor and his skills were ultimately too slow and lacked penetration. Good endurance runner.
  13. As the Bulldogs showed last week, the Dees are vulnerable to pace and quick ball movement. The run of Johannisen, Smith, Hunter and evening Crozier out of defence. There was no plan to stop it or defend with an extra. Or indeed a tag on the ball magnets like Bont and Macrae. It was actually surprising to see guys like Harmes and Lockhart dropped this week as we go in against the Saints. We bring in oscar and JWagner to the defence. The Saints have usually beaten us up by having midfield pace and run to create open forward line chances and last year was no difference. They have a lot of small forwards and midfield pace. Hill, Zac Jones, Long, Butler, Billings, Hind , Sinclair, Kent, Phillips. Our midfield run is Langdon and thatโ€™s it. Our outside mids are Vandenburg and Jones and Brayshaw. We need outside mids desperately and another fast forward to go alongside Kozzzzzy. Melksham and Bennell and Hannan and Fritsch and even Vandenburg are ok for two spots across half forward but not quick and donโ€™t push up and back. Speed. Our Achilles heal.
  14. It would made sense if Harmes had stayed in the team. With Sparrow being injured, Harmes move to starting on the bench and rotating through the midfield made sense. Harmes should be in and tagging Hill, Billings or Steele. We have no tagging as should be Macrae and Bont having a party last week. Harmes needed the assignment. Hope he is back to tag Fyfe and Parker in the next games.
  15. Assume Harmes not played on a hbf.
  16. Canโ€™t believe this. He made some errors. But also some crucial spoils, smothers, tackles and runs. WE HAVE NIL SMALL DEFENDERS. SAINTS HAVE SIX SMALL PACY FORWARDS. FFS. WTF. GOODY !!!!!!!
