  1. Who’s in? I think no change. But tempted to add Hunt for his pace as the sub. Jordon probably gets the loyalty nod. likely v Dogs Their midfield is their absolute strength. Bont Macrae Smith Libba Hunter Treloar Dunkley. 7 very very good players. Contested footy and pace to run it. Huge huge huge midfield contest. Dees can bring it and are able to get it done. Trac, Clarry, Jack, Harmes, Langdon, Brayshaw, Sparrow. Dogs defence is very solid. Keys are Dale and Daniel across half back. They are skilled and run it. Anb and probably Spargo will have to stand up. It’s critical. They destroyed us in round 19. Wood or Williams also very good and match up on Fritsch. Rourke Smith or Duryea on Pickett. Jackson and Brown could be our wildcards and will be the Dogs headaches and have to have to stand out. Dogs attack is Naughton and Schache for height but it’s the pace of Hannan Vandermeer and potent Johanissen or Weightman. May and Petty backed up by Salem and Hibbo and Bowey and Rivers are well backed. Lever again will be reversed tagged by the Dogs. Gawn and Jackson v English and Martin. This is the Dees ability to win first footy and Jackson is the player who could be the youngster who can make a big influence up forward or in the relief ruck role.
  2. Yes thought we’d have demolished Port. Much tougher v Dogs
  3. Dogs are super quick. Good skills. Very dangerous.
  4. Best pick from the 2009 draft. Was supposed to the draft to setup premiership glory. $$$cully pick 1 Trengove pick 2 Gysberts pick 11 Tapscott pick 18 but it was the big guy with the knee reco at pick 34 that’s the golden selection from the 2009 draft. He has become the captain and current day superstar of the Melbourne Footy club. Out of all the wasted picks, Barry Prendergast at least got us big Max Gawn.
  5. Geelong is making enquiries about Grant Birchall. Perfect for their strategy 🤣🤣🤣
  6. Huge game in GF for young Kozzzzzy. He will be a key to our chances. Love his pressure and energy. Needs to work on his set shot for goal just in case.
  7. Getting better each week. Feel he might be a key in the GF. Has kicked the first goal in both finals. 10 pressure acts really showed his value.
  8. Keep this thread going. I watched the 3rd quarter again this morning just to make sure it really happened. March into the Grand Final. GIVE EM HELL 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️
  9. Joeboy has : Got it right Finally nailed it Year’s Best summary Thank you Joeboy
  10. WE WERE RUTHLESS YES YES YES
  11. Lyon still has such passion for the footy club.
  12. Nathan Jones has been the heart of the club through bad times and been so loyal to stay the course. His influence last night was not in kicks or handballs but his presence and spirit. His embrace of his teammates and especially the young blokes showed his leadership and mentorship continues.
  13. Picket Fence. You might be at odds with the views of many but we all should remember that you are a fellow Dees fanatic and just (hopefully) want the best for the Melbourne Footy Club and bring us premiership glory. Time to wrap our arms around each other and march on !!!
  14. Can we fix Steven May? That’s the biggest question in the next fortnight. He’s so important to the team. A true leader on and off field.
  15. Absolutely grateful that Christian Petracca came to the Dees. He has shown the superstar qualities both ON and OFF the field. A great footballer and a fantastic respectful young man. He shows his values on the field and through interaction with teammates and in interviews. It was huge that we chose him to be a Demon.
  16. Jack was simply awesome. He started it in the engine room. Looked like he just wanted it so badly. Huge game. His run and tackles and smart use of the footy. He is a true Red and Blue Demon.
  17. Absolutely. Just got it yesterday. Starting today and will read over the next week. And we have to turn the house into Red and Blue . I’m going to get every bit of club merchandise and find a place for it.
  18. It’s just unbelievable. The whole team was on fire. Maxy. Kozzy. Gus. Clarry. Trac. Jack. Big Benny Brown. Loved it all night. Go Dees. #one more win.
  19. again and again. Dees in the GF
