He’s not a boy anymore. But still only 24 and should now be entering into his perfect age bracket to break out. Potential. So much potential. A big preseason ahead. I’d like to see him do a SAS type preseason. Conquer his fears. Gym work. Get angry on the field. Positive belief. Hours and hours and hours of kicking for goal. Hours and hours and more hours of marking of the footy.

Learnings are happening. Connection forward of centre are happening.

Definitely. Get him through to end 2023 at least!!! He’s development work across the youngsters has been sensational. His word to Trac to focus and get the footy was a catalyst. Need to keep him and have Choco setting the standards and not having players relax with one premiership.

Absolutely a key part of our year. He played 20 games and his run and carry as well as defensive roles were part of our success. Love his pace to chase or burst clear. As soon as he got injured v Eagles, you could tell how upset he was. Hunt knew we’d be pushing for that premiership and his injury would put his role in that in doubt. Really sad he missed out. Still his enthusiasm when we won the GF was great. I think he’ll be in our best 22 in 2022 and be hungry for success. It’s a tough team to crack into but we will have Hunt and Tomlinson bursting to get in and the pressure for spots will be hot.

I couldn’t find such content in my history of posts to reference “Matt Roberts unlikely to be drafted” . perhaps the context was that he wasn’t even eligible for the 2020 draft. Perhaps that helps !! The comparison to Heppell stands and he will be drafted in 2021 draft. @IvanBartul13 Please give your assessment. Also happy to hear your views on other players for critique!
