  1. ❌Looking slow at times. ❌Clearances need work as they are winning at the contest. ❌ umps. Ffs.
  2. ❌ Viney Tomlinson Langdon from best 22. ❌ Lions missing Gardiner and … otherwise at full strength I think Harmes on McCluggage is a good move.
  3. if not at the MCG, shift the Dees v Pies game to the Adelaide Oval. Makes sense. Dees go straight from Sydney to Adelaide. Sunday 13th June - night 6.50pm start
  4. Yes yes and yes. Was thinking this. Surely the AFL needs to try to keep this game and the big freeze event alive.
  5. Agree. Brayden Maynard would be a great addition. Tough. Solid defender. Good kicking skills.
  6. Dees need to get to SCG v Lions this week. Postpone NT game and organise Dees v Giants in round 16 at Alice springs.
  7. He had a real crack v the Flogs on Friday night. A key part of the win. Sure hands. When he’s on song, he’s a huge asset alongside the talls and Pickett/ Spargo. His kicking for goal is ok but not deadly. Loves to kick the snap rather than the drop punt. Before the games he has about 25 set shots from 30 metres out on all angles and nails 24!!! Game pressure is different. The frustration is when he has a night like the game against the Swans. 1 behind. Zero tackles. Three clangers from 5 kicks. He appeared soft and unable to do the basics. But he’s a lock in our best 22 imv.
  8. Missed the point. Yes the tourism benefits are there usually and attracts lots of us Victorians fans making a winter escape. I’ve been to the Alice game and twice to Darwin. Spent 2-3 days each side and spent plenty of $$$ each time towards the NT economy. But if Victorians cannot travel to NT, this will greatly reduce the NT benefits from the game and they (NT GOVT) may decide risks are too great (and lack of tourism add on means better to delay). Recommended- I think Dees could swap this NT game and ask AFL to try to reschedule our round 16 (July 3rd) match v Giants to be played at Alice Springs.
  9. Yes NT really concerned about being compromised. Game offers no tourism benefits so they save $800k. A huge hole in our financial coffers. SCG is the best venue. Though Brisbane based lions supporters would still get in to the game but 1000 lions fans are better than 30,000 at the Gabba. ITS A BIG “NO FROM ME” TO HAVE IT AT THE GABBA
  10. Cerra is about the become a star. Another excellent game today/tonight. I’d love him in red and blue. He’d be a huge target for clubs like Bombers and Kangas. Hawks probably also could offer a first rounder. Imv at this time MFC are unlikely to have the trade picks or players to get Freo interested.
  11. Agree. It’s either the NT as scheduled but if the health issues prevent NT, the SCG is a good option. Might have a 2000-3000 crowd.
  12. No way. Don’t want to play Brisbane in Brisbane ?
  13. Rivers has solid stats every week but it is his energy and second efforts and spoils that go unheralded. He also stopped 2-3 certain goals for the Dogs through his smart play and clearing kicks. Gets plenty of metres with his clearances and rarely wastes the footy. Very positive outlook and hopefully we gets the nomination. Anorher excellent performance contributed to our overall team effort.
  14. Langdon is having another excellent year. Big loss.
  15. Spot on Joeboy Great TEAM EFFORT
  16. Absolutely. Hunt was also important. Played his role.
  17. 6 Oliver 5 Gawn 4 Lever 3 Petracca 2 Harmes 1 Fritsch apologies to 10 others just want to Weid to get it together !
  18. Wtf sam Weideman!!!!!! Shizzzzn
  19. Weid has got to 7-8 contests and dropped the mark. He has just to nail a few. I think he’s getting frustrated at his fumbles. Unless you mark, your life as a key forward is limited.
  20. Agreed. It’s bizarrely different and seemingly we aren’t in the umps good books.
  21. Agree. Insurance for key defender. Anyone in mind?
  22. I reckon the Bombers will grab him with pick 6-7.
  23. I agree we need to drive recruitment in the draft of youngsters in the draft with pace and skill. Also look at year end to attract players from other clubs looking at the Dees being in the premiership window. In terms of the mid year draft, to add the pace needed still imv, I’d look at Will Bravo - missed out in last years draft but trained with the Hawks over the summer as a train on player. He showed in the underage games this year his ability to win the footy and pace to move from the contest. Good stats so far in 2021 and has smart goalkicking sense as additional bonus. Eli Templeton - had another 40 possession game as a ruck rover for Port Melbourne v GWS Giants Reserves last week. He has excellent pace and skill and has matured physically since his days with the Saints a few years ago. Whilst we have the midfield in place , I feel he’d be very handy on the wing opposite Langdon. Templeton has the pace and stamina and skills for a second shot. Just my view.
