GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Carlton
1st half Ditto. Terrible suburban league 4 type footy. Turnovers and missed targets by both teams. Rubbish footy. 🤮Spargo free kick and goal (ridiculous umpiring even beyond a Ginnivan level) ✅Kozzzy goal but needs to do more ✅ clearances 23-14 stoppages 19-10 ✅JVR goal 🥔turnovers 37-38 🥔umps - free kicks 5-11

Bailey Humphrey
GOLD Coast has received a significant boost with AFL Rising Star nominee Bailey Humphrey inking a long-term contract extension with the club. Humphrey wasn't due to come out of contract until the end of next year, when his initial two-year deal would expire. However, the exciting 18-year-old and eight-gamer has agreed to a four-year extension beyond that, tying him to the club until the end of 2028.

CASEY: Rd 11 vs Southport
IN Freeman Galvin Harmes Jordon Neocleous Shepherd OUT Gregory McRae Melksham Peters J Smith Tomlinson Not great signs for JJ or Harmesy being dropped again. Miles Shepherd has again shown his improvement and versatility and good to see him back. Interested to see how young Rhys Galvin goes this week. Solidly built defender with excellent long left foot kick. It’s a big step up for many 19 year old youngsters after the NAB Cup.

MFC shabby treatment of Casey
Absolutely. But not a huge issue. Nothing on the MFC app. You get some occasional News. On the MFC website, search “Casey” to find info. But no drop down menu selection. I would rather prefer the operating connection, sense of connection and team spirit is all joined. That’s on the field and off.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Definitely still Darcy Wilson as our main target imv. Ryley Sanders is another youngster who would add a nice mix to our future midfield (but with a Tassie team joining in 3-4 years, clubs may be reluctant to pick him up). Cooper Simpson is the other young kid who should be closely considered by the Dees.
-
Collingwood forward Ash Johnson
He will stay at Pie-land. Time for JT to put out all resources to find an Ash Johnson type for the Dees.

CASEY: Rd 11 vs Southport
Tough tough game. Especially with guys like Melksham, Dunstan and Munro out. Southport by 3-4 goals. Would be an upset if Casey got up.

Jake Melksham Suspended
Straight back in v pies in KC game. 🤣Suspension keeps him fresh. 🤣

The List
Rangey type mover - not quick. He’s got some smarts and skills but can be laconic at times. I like him forward of the footy. Toughness? Not Grgic. But not Grinter by the same token. Needs another preseason but could be handy at start of 2024
-
The List
In development at least until 2025. Needs a lot of physical development. Needs a lot more footy smarts. Good mark and shows glimpses of talent.

The List
Hold on. After 2021, it was all smiles and platitudes to the list assembled by Goody, Todd and JT (and Josh Mahoney of course). A possible premiership Demon Dynasty they all proclaimed!! So why are we querying the JT theology and Goodys master list plan ?? is it the lack of outside Mids with real class ? is it the absence of a real key forward to kick key goals and be the pillar of the attack ? our ability to stockpile inside Mids or half backs is perhaps a query! Or the absence of real pace with the dismissal of Hunt and Baker showcasing our disregard for leg speed. but we have such talent across every line with gaps really being the pursuit of perfection- and why not aim for that … the Pies have !!!
