  1. BBB retirement game next week v Pies ?
  2. Dees as a destination club seems to have been truly killed off. Still after 2021, Lamb has delivered Dunstan, Hunter, Schache, Grundy (Y), Billings, Fullarton, McAdam. Hardly tracking as a “destination” since our premiership. More like a salary dumping saloon.
  3. Trac to collingwood. We would burn the joint down ! I’d rather keep him to his contract.
  4. It’s a shootout. Hunter. He’s retired or delisted. Disappointing this year.
  5. I ranked Taj Hotton at pick 14 in the years talent pool. +He is a classy mover. Ideally an outside player but can win in his own footy. Nice sidestep evasion to get through traffic. Seems to make good decisions with the footy. Good runner and can move pace up when needs to. Versatile. Has played half forward, mid and half back. ? One query for me is his kicking efficiency due to his ball drop on kicking (like a Selwood or Brandon Walker drop) so his skill under pressure would be queried. Unfortunately his knee injury meant we didn’t get to see him in the national championships against other talented youngsters. That would have seen his intensity and defensive game more on show. He’s definitely a talented player who should go first round despite injury stopping his year.
  6. TRAC NEEDS TO KEEP HIS THOUGHTS IN HOUSE DEES NEED TO SORT OUT HIS ISSUES - WHAT EXACTLY IS IT?? TRAC SIGNED A LONG TERM CONTRACT AND SHOULD HONOUR THAT COMMITMENT TRAC IS A LEADER - THIS IS NOT A GREAT EXAMPLE DEES NEED TO STOP THE MEDIA LEAKS DEES NEED TO SERIOUSLY LOOK AT TRAINING ARRANGEMENTS AND DECIDE ON NEXT MOVE KATE ROFFEY NEEDS TO SPEAK
  7. Ouch. Suns by 64 points !!
  8. Dees could either Wilt like fuchsias in the Qld Sun Or Play like Demons !!!
  9. Yes this is serious and it’s no time for any Hunter, Schache, Billings, McAdam type trades !! Dees need to nail this off season.
  10. Just subscribed to Code Sports. Looks like a good website for lots of sporting info. They have listing of 50 draftees. I particularly thought this was spot on about Xavier Lindsay ⭐️. He’s a Josh Kelly type. Position: Midfielder Height: 183cm Clubs: Gippsland Power/Vic Country Lindsay’s emphatic performances for the Gippsland Power translated on the big stage against Vic Metro. With the championships on the line, Lindsay produced a best-on-ground display for Vic Country, tallying 30 disposals, 11 marks, eight score involvements, eight tackles and 169 SuperCoach points. It underlined the AFL Academy member’s well-rounded traits as a midfielder. Lindsay hurts opposition sides with his penetrating and pinpoint left boot, wins it on the inside and the outside, and defends strongly when he hasn’t got the footy. He was also a class above in challenging conditions against Western Australia, going at 90 per cent by foot and winning 19 disposals and eight clearances. While Lindsay doesn’t need a lot of the ball to punish the opposition, he has been one of the top ball-winners in the Coates Talent League competition, where he averages 25 disposals, six inside 50s, six clearances and 132 SuperCoach points. He also racked up plenty of the ball as a defender last year and played down back in the AFL Academy game.
  11. That’s a bad sign. Bombers may actually recover. More bad news !!!
  12. Is it running the clinic or LEARNING in the clinic. 🤣🤣 “ now here’s how you lower your eyes to hit a target “🤣🤣 ”now here’s how you kick through the ball and lean forward to direct the footy, not lean back to chip kick it 30 metres up and 25 metres forward “ 🤣🤣
  13. It’s madness. Clarko comments and it’s ok. Imagine Goodwin saying we are aiming to get Houston and Serong and other contracted players. It’s all smoke. The media love the deteriorating story that is the MFC
  14. Who cares now !! The AFL Swans ok they probably deserve the premiership. They get father son 🤮and free academy picks🤮. Premiership cup in Sydney. AFL would love it. No wonder they don’t bottom out. Not the Lions. That music. Another AFL LOVE CHILD. Father on and academy picks. We had them beaten and then the crowd scream gets them the mcchuggage free kick. The arrogance 🤮 Not the AFL Giants (a make believe club created by the AFL. 🤮🤮Average home crowd of 12,000 and everyone else bemoans our crowd numbers Not the Power from Port. Mullets and tattoos and BO. And that Koch bloke 🤮Couldn’t stand Kane Cornes rambling!! 🤮🤮 Not the bi-polar dockers. Smash us and fall apart against other teams. And of course the WA footy media 🤮and supporters are feral. Not the Geelong - we are the self proclaimed self mastur&$&(ing Cats. Chris Scott - lover of himself and a general piece of 💩 Not the arrogant and house of cards Carlton Blues . Their supporters were feral after last years finals This was their year And the media pack who love the blues 🤮🤮 Not the Bulldogs - although they are the least hated of those named !! Ok I suppose if not us Not the Hawks. Remember their arrogance …🤮🤮 it was nauseating!!! Too much success. Not the Bombers. May the drought continue. Smacked us in 2000. Their supporters were just so ugly to my family and I after the Game. Hard to forget. Brad Scott. Piece of 💩. Such a righteous bastard!!
  15. Two first rounders for Houston. Thats ridiculous!!! He’s very good but not an elite midfielder. Butters = two 1st rounders. Houston = one 1st rounder. I’m glad he’s not coming onboard. There’s real talent in this draft. I would rather draft young guns like Langford, Lindsay or Lalor with first round pick.
  16. JVR dry conditions again this week. Use grippo or whatever legal spray is available!!! He gets to the contest, outbodied opponents but then often fumbles the footy or drops the mark. Clean handling and JVR could get a 4+ goal game. Hes young but needs to work in this simple step.
  17. Caulfield Racecourse development has to be the primary option. It ticks many boxes, so can see why MFC are pushing for this. I am always doubtful because of 30+ years of feasibility and potential locations. However it appears Melbourne Racing Club want the Dees there as a partner in the development. Time for the board etc to actually show us their value for the club. Less talk. More action.
  18. If we got 4-5 picks, I’d back JT to pick 5 youngsters in the top 40 that would be very handy and play a role in 2025. The development and maturity of the youngsters is definitely preparing them for AFL footy. Look at the draft of 2023 …16 of the top 20 picks played significant games in 2024, and then 29 of the top 40 had a debut. Draft for talent. Trade for needs.
  19. Ben Hobbs. Yes in a heartbeat. Not sure why the bombers are putting him the Reserves this year. The media should [censored] OFF. !!! They hate the Dees and are like vultures circling to benefit their own desires. Damo, Kane, Lloydy, Ralphy. All can go get [censored]!!
  20. Noah Yze. Cat A rookie. Father son 👏 Ricky Mentha. Cat B rookie. NGA. 👏 that’s where they should come through. Both have potential but I think we can get 4-5 really strong youngsters in this years national draft.
  21. Houston would have come at a huge price. No thanks!!! Wasn’t ever keen on this. We need quality midfielders. I can draft plenty of half back distributors.
  22. Tell Port supports to 🤬off.
  23. my phantom draft from earlier today Phantom draft update : 1 Finn O'Sullivan - Oakleigh 2. ***Brisbane match bid. Levi Ashcroft Father son. 3. Jagga Smith - Oakleigh 4. Luke Trainor - Sandringham 5. Josh Smillie - Eastern 6. Sid Draper - Sth Adel 7.***Suns match bid - Leonardo Lombard (Academy ) 8. Harvey Langford - Dandenong⭐️ 9. Sam Lalor- GWV⭐️ 10. Xavier Lindsay - Gippsland⭐️ 11. Murphy Reid - Sandringham
  24. Bump this thread. Tim Lamb … time to start your redemption!!! Peatling would be an excellent addition. Deserves a good 3-4 year contract at least. His pace and run and tackling would add to our midfield.
  25. He grew up in Shepparton before accepting a scholarship to attend Scotch College in Melbourne. He was drafted by Gold Coast with their third selection and ninth overall in the 2016 national draft. Brodie played 24 games for Gold Coast across 5 years as he struggled to get ahead of other younger midfielders. Following the 2021 AFL season, Brodie was traded to Fremantle. Brodie played every game of the 2022 season a career best and established himself as an important part of Fremantle's midfield. He finished the season eleventh in the league for total disposals tallying 607 across 22 games. In 2023 and 2024, despite dominating at WAFL competition, he had limited opportunities into the Freo AFL team with Young, Serong, Brayshaw and Omeara preferred. With Worner & Erasmus coming through, Brodie will likely be squeezed out. Brodie presents as the classic Moneyball trade pickup. He will cost a “future 5th round” and be a reasonable salary contract. But he can step in and play immediately. At 189cms, he has the physical ability in the contest and skills to deliver. He has good contested possessions numbers all through his career. Definitely one to consider in the off season period.
